You're asking if we believe in an extremely large, human like animal or primate that hasn't been positively identified even though we know the approximate area in which they could exist?

I sure as hell don't. It's a huge fricken ape-thing. If it existed we would have found it by now. How fricken elusive could a huge big-footed, hairy creature possibly be when there's expert game trackers and what-not avalible to try tracking it? Very, very improbable existence.
