Regardless of naruto's Rasengan and the fact that he beat neji and kiba is he really the strongest in the team?

I think so, I thought the fact of the power he displayed in the very last fight with Sasuke really put him over the top. I don't think any of them are capable of doing what him and Sasuke were doing.

Although Naruto is an idiot, he has the kyuubi's powers to protect him from harm...
so he is the strongest

Yes,Naruto's the strongest alright,but he doesn't use his head enough though,but Naruto still rocks,he's clever at times...

I know I know what you are saying but we all must keep in mind that Naruto is still a genin, I don't want to say it is allowed for him to be dumb, but you can't expect him to be along the lines of Shika or Neji. True Neji is also a genin, but only because he hadn't gotten over his family history so he wasn't thinking in terms of protecting people if he was in charge. All the genin have 1 or 2 things that they must work on before they become Chuunin, Naruto's is using his head. I guess what I am trying to say, is that we should put kid gloves on when we talk about the genin. I do expect big things from Neji though, because ever since the fight with Naruto he has really made me start liking him.

I guess I am the only one who believes this, but I think Lee can beat Neji. The move that he did to Gaara after unlocking the gates would have crushed Neji, because unlike the fight with Naruto he never would have seen it coming so he wouldn't know when to start his whirlwind.

I also think Naruto is the strongest in the team because Shikamaru put him in the middle in the beginning if I'm not mistaking to give help in each direction, and you don't leave that to the weakest. And the fact he doesn't use his head enough, I agree in some way. When he fought the Chuunin from the country of Rain he was smart enough to see the crack in the sword, and use his powers on that, the only fight(s) where he was not thinkin was when fighting Haku.

Actually it was a Jounin...

Anyway, I don't think Naruto is the strongest. I think this applies to real life too, what I'm about to say. A one on one fight never determines the true strength or skill of a person. Their ability to work in a team is what makes them great.

ya naruto is the strongest...but if he use his head he will be really great..you cant tell sasuke is stronge cuz he's cool idont really like sasuke he showz that he's stronge but he's not if he was training like naruto he might get strong lol

naruto probably...in terms of brute strength since he has the kyuubi power in him. but shikamaru's a lot smarter than naruto. neji's kinda cool but i don't think he could be the strongest, he's still pretty powerful tho.
