Yeah I know. I don't quite get where in scripture they got that from. I think it is just some of that tradition.

Only the grace of God can get a sinner to heaven. In this case I believe God gave us that grace (Jesus.)

? I don't quite get how people actually beleive that things happened by coincidence. Like what makes you think that coincidence is real? In my mind everything is tied together making it impossible to have coincidence.

I would like to call that bullcrap. You aren't boasting that you are going to heaven if you just say you are going. First of all whether you sin or not does not matter because the blood of Jesus covers all sins. Second of all Jesus said he was going to heaven so how could it be a sin.

In protestantism we don't believe in purgatory since we believe in:

sola fide (Faith alone)
sola gratia (Grace alone)
sola scriptura (Scriptue alone)
solus Christo (Christ alone)

.........Basically tell me in scripture where it talks about Purgatory. Also not in a roman catholic bible.

Yes Sadly I, Shikamaru, am very very educated when it comes to the Bible and especially this particular subject


You do not get to heaven by being a goodie goodie and feeding the homeless and giving away free things, no those are and i quote "Like Filthy rags" unto the lord

So basically being good JUST to get into heaven is gonna wind you up in hell, thank god because i cant stand those kinds of people. Now doing good deeds just because you want to, thats not spitting in God's face. Thats fine but, its not going to get you anywhere hence why i dont bother doing such things unless its a friend or "on the way".

Now onto the point and more ontopic: to get into heaven all you merely have to do it accept Jesus as the Son of God and let him into your life hence becoming saved. Now despite being educated i have no idea how this is done, but i do know if you're saved its because God chose you to be saved. Meaning if it's going to happen, its going to happen like it or not and vise versa.

See i know all this stuff, and ive still yet to do any of it (to my knowledge). Whereas if someone who doesn't know this stuff doesn't do it they have a good chance of going to heaven or suffering a less agonizing pain in hell since they have not heard the "good word", but me, if i dont do something about it im going straight to hell and suffering the worst kind of punishment imaginable since i was not ignorant......and now all of you will suffer a worse fate than you would've gotten since you are now less ignorant. So in short i just fucked you all over in the worst possible way. But rest easy, i still know alot more about the subject than you so ill still suffer more

I got all my facts from the Bible, none of which i have posted are theories from me.

To repeat what Red said, show me evidence that it does exist. I'll show you evidence that Purgatory doesn't exist, as soon as you show me evidence that the Porcupotomus doesn't exist. Obviously, if something doesn't exist then there's not going to be any evidence either for or against it.

I'm impressed Shika, you did an excellent job of explaining exactly what we're talking about here and still managed to stay true to your usual style. I doubt most people are going to read all of that, so I'll condense it into a more appealing (short) fashion, and add a bit to it:


Sin = death
Death = eternal separation from God
Everyone has sinned.
Jesus = perfect, sinless
Perfect, sinless sacrifice = Our sins paid for for us
Jesus' resurrection = conquering death
Conquering of death = death has no power over us
.'. (therefore) no one who accepts Christ will ever die
(be eternally separated from God)
