20th Century Fox has bought the rights to the new feature film "Dragonball Z" The top rated anime and one of the greatest anime of all time has decided to sprout out in yet, another desperate attempt to grab the US market...again.

Director Roland Emmerich (Stargate, Godzilla, Universal Soldier and Independence Day) and writer Tedi Sarafian (Terminator 3) come together to create this mammoth movie title which has no known cast or expected release date as of this moment.

For last year, "DragonBall" ranked as the year's top item of interest on the Internet. This #1 seed search result was un-moved for much if not the entire year and although fallen some; remains a hot topic still in the eyes of many die hard fans as it was rated in the top 50 of the greatest search results of all time!

"Fox was so high on acquiring the material that Fox Filmed Entertainment chairman Jim Gianopulos flew to Japan about a month ago to meet with Toriyama and the property's publisher, Shueisha, to confirm the studio's commitment to the project and hammer out the deal." - IMD
