ABOUT KOSMOS:

KOS-MOS is my favorite female character in any game up to date. I like her design as well as her power and abilities and her persona as well as her back story, from the moment she was shrouded in mystery to the moment that her destiny was revealed. She is emotionless, expressionless and logical, though to humans she may be harsh.

However throughout the course of the series she goes through changes minor changes though her persona remains the same. She is the perfect hero (at least through my eyes :P). For those of you that have never played the Xenosaga series (or just some of the games in the series)... to understand the kind of being KOSMOS is, view the "Acceptable Losses" clip, under the scenes section. Be warned of spoilers however.

She is the most bad ass female/android character in any game.

ABOUT XENOGEARS/XENOSAGA:

Xenosaga is also a great game, for those not familier with the titles, it all began with the release of Xenogears (Directed and Written by Tetsuya Takahashi). With its intense and crazy Psychology (personalities) and Philosophical (religious) ideas. The Xenosaga series was also Directed and Written by the same person, not including Xenosaga Episode 2 though the plot is still canon. The series has gone through a series of major controversy not only between Xenosaga and Xenogears but between the development teams. However Tetsuya Takahashi has always been there for the series.

Unfortunately, Xenosaga does not have a big fanbase unlike Xenogears, this is because the fans soon realized that Xenosaga was not a continuation to Xenogears but a prequal, on top of that fans never even bothered to give the plot a chance (and there are connections, though technically it cannot be confirmed because Square still holds the rights to Gears...).

Xenosaga contains everything that Xenogears had, though the majority of the people that didn't buy into Xenosaga will never get to know that now unless they actually decided to go back and give Saga a chance.

At the moment, Namco has pulled the plug on the Xenosaga series, prematurely ending it on Episode 3 when the series was intended to be 6 episodes long (Episode V being the events of Xenogears...). The games have had a series of spin-offs however.
