I'm currently taking a class to take conversational Japanese. I also have a year of Spanish under my language belt and I speak Americanized English perfectly. XD

Uh, English and Spanish. I know bits and phrases in a bunch of other languages, Russian, German, French, Korean, Japanese, etc... but I can only speak English and buchered Spanish (Didn't pay much attention in class.)

To all of you who are claiming to know 5 languages: you must be quite the linguist. But I do question just how much of each language you know. Taking the class for one or two years in high school does not, in my opinion, qualify as "knowing the language." Hell, I'd bet that there are people who take a language class four years in high school, and then another four years in college who still don't know the language well enough to be considered fluent.

As such, I don't find many of these posts to be impressive in the least bit. But to remain on topic, I will say that English is my primary language and French is my secondary, which I have been studying for three years.

English (duh). I used to be fluent in German with 3 years of intense high school classes (it helps having your mother as a teacher). Now I am not so much, but I can still read and understand most German. Japanese is my third with no formal training (and I'm not that great in.)

two fluent languages i can speak read and write without any difficulty which are english and spanish. There are three languanges i can basically understand and speak a little of french italiand and some arabic. but i want to learn japanese.
