As Silencer posted yesterday, we will be reading DameWren's story "Two Halves"
(the link is in the first post)

@ forum, I was late reading Silencer's last post so I guess we'll start discussion on the first chapter of Two Halves tomorrow, I will post a summary of the first chapter shortly

Two Halves Summary (Chapter 1):

The chapter begins three years in the future. Naruto and Hinata are 16 and after three years away from Konoha to train, they will be returning in the morning. Their return to Konoha will enlighten them on just how much their friends and family have changed in their absence. But their friends will be in for a surprise as well...Naruto and Hinata's relationship.

As the story reverts back to the present timeline when Naruto is only 13, the reader is introduced to the story's first OC, Sora, who you learn is Tsunade's former student. Quite the aloof character, as well as a powerful kunoichi, Naruto and Hinata will be released into her care for the next three years. Naruto needs to stay under the radar as he gets stronger in order to face Akatsuki and Hinata needs to build up her self-confidence.

That's how their journey will begin.

As for the "Two Halves", I love the introduction. The first time I read it, it captured my interest with the peek into the future. Furthermore, the way it's played out (as said in the last line) "Sora smiled brightly at the woman. “Hey, Obaachan. I’ll take the annoying one off your hands if you’ll let me have this one as well.” was the most interesting of all. I love how Sora (the OC), has no interest in the affair at all, and the only thing that got her into taking Naruto was the shy girl by his side.

That's one of my favorite parts too. I don't have a direct quote, but the part where Sora hears Naruto scream "Tsunade-obaachan" and Tsunade laughs reiterating just how much Naruto and Sora are alike. (foreshadowing for those who are new to the story)

But my favorite part of this arc in the story is, i believe, in the next chapter. I won't spoil it though.

I hope this isn't going to just be a Silencer and Roku deal, b/c that would be no fun. Is it that not enough members have found the new FC yet? That discussing a fanfiction isn't that interesting (b/c this is the only real NaruHina we have thus far)? Or maybe too many ppl have already read Two Halves and don't want to review? (if thats the case, maybe new stories would be appropriate although they really dont get any better than Two Halves)

In other news, as you have probably guessed, the latest chapter of the group fanfiction is not out...slight delay but I am working on it.

I love how the author writes it... it actually has a plot that makes sense, and how Sora was nice to Hinata! I can't wait to read how Naruto and Hinata become a couple!

I'm not gonna ask...

Anyways, I got some bad news. I won't be around for a bit, because I'm feeling down lately. Depressed and tired of worrying about life. I'll post again when I become less emo. In the meanwhile, read the stories; nobody is holding anyone back. If you wish to discuss the fanfictions, please, by all means do. Just try to avoid any possible spoilers for other members.

Here's the summary for chapter 2

The chapter starts off in Tsunade's office, Naruto and Hinata get briefing on the mission. The mission is recorded as an A-class, with two primary goals. The first goal is to train, as Sora was Tsunade's apprentice at one point, she will pass those skills onto them. The second goal is to get Sora to come back to Konoha. This mission is developped by Tsunade to keep Naruto out of danger and Hinata is tagged along by Sora's request. Here's the best part; the mission will take 3 years.

Both, Hinata and Naruto, got emotionally hurt by their teams, when they informed them of the mission. Sakura's careless speechcraft, excessive concentration on the unconscious Sasuke, and lack of care for Naruto's feelings, made the team's last moment a regrettable one. While Hinata broke the news to her team with an attempted soft blow, which failed and caused her to flee with eyes full of tears.

At last, after Sora's quick packing rampage, Jiraiya's failed attempt to hit on Sora, and Tsunade's last-minute terms of keeping her posted, the trio was finally off, backs turned to Konoha.
