I believe the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts are authentic and doctrinally inerrant.

The closest translation to a literal word for word interpretation of the bible is the NASB. It is an improvement of the NKJV and is more readable. It also corrects a lot of the mistranslated words in the KJV. Of course, any bible concordance can help you find the original word in the text and render a better translation but that requires work that most people just would rather not bother with...

I grew up on KJV as well and love to read it still but I prefer the NASB for in depth study. Maybe you should try reading both side by side to help you better understand the KJV scripts that are challenging for you. At first, I refused to look at anything other than the KJV but the NASB has deepened my understanding of God's word and has made clearer what was fuzzy and dark previously. Thanks for the nickname, it makes me feel like I have influence over you, since you took the time out of your life to come up with a nickname for someone who's trying to stir up some lulz on the Internet.

As for my opinion, I think Christianity is hypocritical, to say the least. I mean, isn't it part of your whole code that you have to treat others with respect and be nice to them? But then there's something called the Crusades, and blaming the Jews for everything, and converting people, but if they didn't convert you'd say, "You go to Hell. You go to Hell and you die!" Then you would kill them anyways. Hm, I think that's called hypocrisy. There are so many other things wrong with Christianity, but I'll just leave it at that for now.
Again, thanks for the nickname. I got a pretty good laugh out of it last night. As for disrespect, I've noticed that there's been some disrespect aimed towards Jewish people in this thread before. Yeah, shinovsnaruto said something along the lines of "I feel sorry for the Jews because they didn't except Jesus as their savior and now they're all going to Hell ". Yeah, that's respectful. And yeah, I'm aware that you'd report me, but ya know, this is the Internet and it shouldn't affect you at all. =/

Ya know, it sounds like you think that there's group of anti-Christian people trying to hunt you down, but in all truth there isn't. Just one bored teenager on the Internet trying to stir up some lulz and succeeding, which is the sad part. =/

Oh, and here's something about the Salem Witch trials: they were burned, not hung. Sure, there might have been a few hangings, but burning was the popular form of eradication. And that's not very nice, wanting to hang me. What happend to being nice to others and being accepting?

Now, here's some more on how I feel about Christianity:

Too many factions. Seriously, there's Catholics (and don't pull that "They're not Christians" garbage), Protestants, New Protestants, Methodists, New Methodists, Angelicans, Lutherans, et-fucking-c. You all worship the same dude, you all acknowledge the same prophets, you all believe in the same damn thing. So why the hell are you all broken up? Hell, even Islam has, what, four different factions compared to the dozens of Christian ones? Judaism is the most peaceful religion I can think of, and ya know what? Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are all the same thing. You all just have different ways of worshipping.

And before you say, "No, we're different" let me explain; Allah and God are the same entity, just different names. Seriously. And Judaism has influenced both Islam and Christianity. Hell, for the longest time Christianity was a branch of Judaism. All three religions acknowledge the same prophets, all three religions originated in the Middle East, and Jesus was a Jew.

Now let me get started on Jesus. Okay, this guy was born in the Middle East, but in almost every picture/painting/etc. he's white. Bull-fucking-shit. However, an interesting picture I saw in my history book (which is on the Christianity unit) a picture of a wallpainting in a Roman catabomb depicting Jesus. Ya know what? He wasn't white. He had dark skin, dark hair, and was surrounded by his apostles, who all looked like him. If you truly want to see this I can scan the book on Tuesday, upload the picture, and post it.

How's that for expressing my opinions/views/etc. on the subject?

Anyways, your problems are not with the religion, just the people who worship the religion. It's not Christianity's flaws you're venting about, it's the Christian's flaws. You're blaming the whole religion, for the acts of a minority of the poplulation of said religion.

And about the different sects of Christianity, they are different. The differences are subtle, but they are different. Christianity was born from the Roman Catholic religion, back during the time where prophets had people "pay their way into heaven". Martin Luther outlashed against this crime against God by pinning the 98 (or 99, could never remember which) Thesis on the church doors. After the Roman Catholic Church has him prosecuted, he formed the Protestant religion, the current day Christians.

Again, the differences are subtle, but I chose to put my own spin on the religion thing. I guess I still am Christian, I just choose to ignore the blatant lies that the Bible has the tendecies to spew out every once in a while. (The Universe created only a few days before humans? Lmao!)

Yes, it's true that I have a major problem with the people who worship it (not all, just most), but a lot of the regulations and whatnot of Christianity are hypocritical or annoying. I guess you're right about me disliking just the people and not the religion exactly, I just find lots of flaws in aspects of Christianity.

My question is why can't there be a compromise? Is it because the religious leaders are so pompous that they wouldn't dare accept that one person might have been a decent prophet? I don't know, but I'd like for someone to shed some light on the situation.

At least you're able to look at life from your own perspective and not have the Bible hold your hand through your entire life. Kudos to you. (Yes, that whole creationism thing is a load of bull manure.)

Anyways, me being a Christian, I can find more flaws in my own religion then I care to admit.

One being that how coincidental is it that the religion has fail-safes for human errors? Like, when we commit one of the seven capital sins, all we have to do is acknowledge God as our savior and we go to heaven? What's the fucking point of the Ten Commandments if that's the case? Hitler could be in heaven by saying, "Jesus/God, you're my savior" just before he swallowed the cyanide pill.

I mean, I base my character and being around the Ten Commandments. But seriously, I'm human, I make mistakes. I've come to terms with that. But seriously, acknowledge God as your savior and you're pretty much set? C'mon now.

I find that little plan to be a huge load of garbage as well. I've even been told by diehard Christians that you don't even need to do that, that people get into Heaven because Jesus died for our sins and loves everyone.
