No. 1- Sasuke want to beats Itachi without getting MS the way Itachi got it, and wants him to get it.

No.2- Sasuke wouldnt even kill all those Shinobi that Orochumaru had him fight.

No.3- Sasuke spoke negatively about how Orochumaru and Itachi killed people for their own selfish purposes. \

No.4- the only people Sasuke has been seen possibly killing were enemies in battle, but not for sport nor Orochumaru.

No.5- Sasuke is better at consealing his true feelings for someone, but Nauto was his first close friend. Sasuke definitely still feels that bond with Naruto

No. 6- Sasuke despises Itachi for killing the Uchiha clan. Sasuke killing off his best friend who only wants to protect him would be almost as bad.

No.7- Sasuke told The guy rolling with him not to kill the people that Orochumaru had locked up. Not even one. If Sasuke would kill his best firend for being in his way, he would not care about anyone else being killed. If I'm not mistaken, Sasuke told him to free them. This is a guy with morals

Sasuke stated that friends and Konoha is what has been holding him back from achieving his goal faster. That was true. Sasuke only cut his ties with everyone so that he could hurry up and defeat Itachi. Sasuke saw Naruto gaining the power that he needed. Sasuke saw that Naruto was being trained by a Sannin, so Sasuke went out and sought Orochumaru, who already gave him a taste of power. I said this to say that Sasuke only wanted to become stronger, he didnt want to serve an evil Sannin as Kabuto did, so Sasuke didnt turn bad.

- Sasuke was too quick to kill the unarmed Naruto when they met again. since when would Sasuke not even give Naruto a chance to defend himself? He has more pride in his skills than that. He knew either Naruto would block it, or either Yamato, or Sai would stop him. Sasuke already knew that Naruto was being trained by a Sannin, their friendship started out of competition. Sasuke probably wanted to see who got the strongest from the teachings of the Sannins. Sasuke probably hoped that Naruto would try to fight back. If Sasuke could get up on Naruto without anyone even seeing it, dont u think that he could have cut Naruto without somebody being fast enough to stop him.

Sasuke was about to use, what seems to be a powerful jutsu before Orochumaru stopped him. Sasuke wouldnt just pull out the big guns at the start of the fight. You see how he did with Deidara. Most warriors want to play with u for a while. Sasuke just wanted to show Naruto, Sakura, and company how powerful he had become. He even showed how he had made chidori his own, and how he was too fast for them. Sasuke even went in Naruto's mind and destroyed the fox image. He used Sharingan. All this in hardly any time. Sasuke was clearly putting on a show. A display of all the things that he could do now. Sasuke left to train with Orochumaru because he saw Naruto becoming more powerful under the Sannin training. He was envious and jealous of Naruto. When they met again, Sasuke was just like, "Look what I can do".

When Narutos kage bunshin found team hebi, sasuke hit it with a chidori, and kept moving.
theres no way he knew it was a shadow clone from the start, I think he has no feelings at all for naruto anymore.

I dont think so. Not only for all the reasons listed above, but after rereading the Naruto/Sasuke encounter, Sasuke recognized the Kyuubi. Now maybe this is better suited to a different thread, but the Kyuubi gave a warning directly to Sasuke after he suppressed the Kyuubi chakra. The Kyuubi warned Sasuke not to kill Naruto or he would definately regret it. This seems to me that the Kyuubi knows about the MS and the sacrafice requirement, and probably knows something about the MS that the other Uchihas dont know. I thnk that Sasuke just might be smart enought to heed that warning.

However, at the beginning of this little conflict, Sasuke was quick to pull his blade and swing to impail (ahnd presumably kill) Naruto. He also stated that just at a whim, he was gonna kill Naruto this time. Just as, at a whim, he spared Naruto's life before. Luckily enough that Sai prevented it.

When "whats her name" stated that they were surrounded by many people with identical chakra, Sasuke had to know that it was Narutos Bunshin.

There is no point to this thread becasue manga already gave proof he tried to kill naruto 3 times since post 2 times on oro's hideout and recently if he had the chance he would attmept to kill him again.

When was the 3rd time? At the Valley of the End, he spared Naruto's life so thats a no. It is arguable if he actually would have gone through killing Naruto at Oro's hideout so thats not a yes either. And as I said, he knew that the most recent Naruto encounter was a clone so thats not a yes either. None of these are proof that Sasuke would kill Naruto at all.

I think he knew it was a kage bunshinn, he has sharingan and other types of senses. He should know at least.

Nah, Sasuke's a good guy at heart.

I don't know how to explain the incident at the Orochimaru hideout. Maybe he just wanted to appear like a bad guy so that Naruto and the others would stop chasing him. We don't really know what kind of a jutsu he was going to use when Oro stopped him. And we don't know if he would've actually gutted Naruto with that blade if Sai hadn't stopped him.

Sasuke could just be fast enough not to let someone like Sai stop his blade if he really didn't want him to (see the battle against Deidara, and how quickly he cut down Tobi). I think it was all just a demonstration of power, growth and trying to pretend to be a bad guy. Maybe not just to deceive the Konoha ninjas, but Orochimaru as well.

In the end I think the first post was all that was needed in this thread.

bur then, is it guaranteed that when orochimaru stopped Sasuke from using "that jutsu" Sasuke was REALLY going to use it? Or maybe It was only his tactic to show oro that he was loyal to him and to show that he has no feeling for naruto?
I got this thought after reading the mange volume7, where sasuke invites Kabuto to a fight, while he can simply beat kabuto from the back without the shouting. Sasuke is just adopting his brother's dark ego.

Really you do realaize had sai not steped in he would cut naruto to shreds and he was willing to use his secret jutsu on all them to kill them oro stoped him he already started the handseals so thats 2 proofs.

Who cares if its a clone he din't know that sharingan nor byakugan can tell a real from fake byakugan has a better chance but when chakra is split evenly it cannot andn sharingan cannot tell a clone from the real one ever ok so he clearly use chidori thinking it was the real one.

The reunion had several elements that led me to believe it was not exactly as it seemed.

As mentioned, Sasuke could have taken Naruto's life the instant he appeared before him, but instead he told Naruto to give up on chasing him, since Naruto's dream was to become Hokage. I'm sure everyone remembers Naruto's response, which then led to Sasuke attacking him. Sasuke knows Naruto is strong, and I doubt he believed he'd take his life with a single strike. >.>

Sakura advanced on Sasuke, and Kishimoto drew three panels of Sasuke's face. Which uh, seems like a waste unless it was intended to illustrate a pause/hesitation. He did direct his sword at her, but considering that he only immobilized Yamato, it's certainly logical to believe he would have done the same to Sakura, instead of taking her life.

Following that, his threat to use "That Jutsu", seemed more as a way to unveil Orochimaru who was watching the reunion. Which it did.

So to me the reunion was Sasuke attempt to get across two points: He made it seem that he was willing to take his former team's lives, in hopes that they would give up on trying to bring him back (he even stated in the last chapter that Naruto doesn't know when to give up, which imo backs up this interpretation), and give Orochimaru the impression that he was willing to conform to Orochimaru's desires. Remember at this time, Sasuke was still being trained by Orochimaru, so feigning loyalty was still in Sasuke's motives.

Besides those points, Sasuke's phrasing and words were also questionable. Such as 'whim' and in repsonse to Naruto's question about the body transfer, Sasuke states "If it happens... so it happened." Using if makes it seem as if its a possibility, rather than his intended choice.


Now, he has expressed disgust towards Orochimaru and Itachi, will not let his team take anyone's life, and freed prisoners. It seems really odd that he would truly want to kill Naruto or Sakura or Kakashi or really anyone other than Itachi or Akatsuki, people who play God with other's lives and kill without hesitation.

And as for the kage bushin point, yeah, Karin had just mentioned that they were surrounded by people with the same chakra. It doesn't take much brain power to realize that they were Naruto's kage bushin. >.>

Sasuke may end up fighting his team again, but I don't think his character wants in any way to take their lives. He'd prefer it if they just left him to his revenge.

No...or at least not now. Sasuke appears to be emotionless simply because he had to be to become stronger faster. Now I'm not saying that he will never attempt to kill Naruto but in his current postion that would be a total insult to all manga readers in my book.
