I never said he didn't have reasons. He always has a reason for insulting some feature or gameplay element. My big problem this time is that he didn't provide the reason, he didn't explain it in enough detail to get a sense of.

edit: The new review came out today, on Silent Hill: Origins.

I'm not a fan of the series. I've played a little bit of each, felt the feeling of the hopeless lunacy that is brought on by the gore and scary jumpy things, and I gotta say I'm not too keen on the theme. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the series, and I don't hold anything against them, it's just that they're not my kind of thing (not my niche if you will).

There's my take on the game. Now here's what I think about the review itself.

In reviewing the review, I gotta say that I liked it much more than the previous mario one. The points that revolved around the unexplained gameplay were few, but even they can be excused due to the fact that the covered gameplay would only be interesting if I truly cared about the game and its originality factors. Other (more general) gameplay, such as the weapons and the map, were quite into context, and yet common enough to comprehend his complaints.

Story and character-wise, it goes without say that if the Silent Hill series continue, they'll die and rot like the mario movement.

That's all. Let's hear your takes on this.

Good god, the review for crysis is out, and this is going into my top 5 faves (if not top 3). He didn't rely on coarse language at all (whatever little he used fit very well into context), and yet still managed to effectively assault the game to the point of 'lols' using nothing but wit.

Due to the several reviews before this one, I was starting to worry that perhaps Yahtzee is losing his touch. I'm relieved to say that "he's still got it".
