It was also stated that the man grew suspicious when food started to mysteriously disappear from his home. She had a nice place in the closet, apparently, with a small mattress and good hygiene.

The guy must have been stupid to not notice someone at the top of his closet hiding. Of course, it does say she was hidden well. Nice drawing. ^_^

That's sad and scary. Sad cause she had to rivert to doing that to survive, and scary because...well, having a stranger lurk around your house eating your food sounds like something off The Messengers.
