Gia ho visto il film "La vita e bella." E molto bello, ma non mi ha piaciuto molto.

"Les Visiteurs?" Je ne le connais pas. Est-ce le film d'ou vient le film americain, "The Others?" ou non?

Hmm. Je vois que tu as fait un commentiare sur le film "Cloverfield". JE L'AIME A LA MORT! XD
L'ouverture de cela m'obsede maintenant. ROAR!!!

Re: Official French Thread

This is a really important question. others I asked gave really vague answers.:

Are the "nasalized vowels" in French a grammatical necessity? What I mean is, If you were a French kid in 5th grade grammar class, would your teacher tell you "You absolutely must nasalize the O in "On" or else you are not using proper grammar and are instead using bad grammar."??????

well some might have some grammatical implications (bon as a masculine must have the "n" nasalized to distinguish it from bonne, which is the feminine) but they are not that important in grammar, actually. learning how to nasalize certain syllables is still important, though. it will make you pronounce more like a french and will sound more like a french. it is just one of the most important nuances of french pronunciation, but not grammar. this is just what i know, though, being an intermediate french learner myself.

well i study by myself, and no french classes were offered during my elementary years. but having enough knowledge with the language itself, your teacher must not tell you that not nasalizing will result to bad grammar. instead it will result to a french that's painful in the ear, if you get my drift.

Re: Official French Thread

@ Beikoku: It's crucial, yes, but not for grammar, but for comprehension. There ARE words between which the only difference is a nasalized sound; minimal pairs, they're called. The inability to differentiate a nasalized vowel from a non-nasalized one would be akin to... say... the inability to differentiate the pronunciation between "cat" and "cot" in English.

Eh... you still there? ^_^

Ah oui, Cloverfield.

Moi je dis Good Job, because the whole movie was showed in First Person. Pas très facile * mon avis, surtout qu'il faut s'y habitué

a. Possible. Possible qu'elle n'est pas si grande aussi que l'on pense-- bien sur il y a des aspects comme l'aspect architecturel/sculpturel et l'aspect d'illusion a cause de son propre taille vs notre point-de-vue, nous, qui sommes tout petits.
Je
b. Inimportant. Bah. Que m'importe? New York ne m'interesse pas.

XP Desolée si mon grammaire est terrible-- j'ai passe mon apres midi avec un film espagnol, vois?
