Does anyone think this year's games are a little soft-core? I was looking forward to some hard-hitting games, but Mircosoft is just putting out GoW2 (which, don't get me wrong, looks awesome). And Nintendo isn't putting out any Mario or Zelda. Animal Crossing seems to be their 'hard-hitter'. Ironically, the PS3 is getting the hard-core attention. It just seems really weird. I was listening to the G4 anchors talking about it a lot.

Not really, the general impression is that this E3 was overall soft, but Microsoft won it just because of the FF announcement.

Also, Bungie was pulled out from E3 by Microsoft apparently because MS didn't want the new Halo to overshadow the other games for MS.

I was wondering why we weren't hearing from Bungie about Halo.

Still, it was disappointing. Especially Nintendo.

bungie was going to show but they had some problems....but a new halo is already confirmed

Halo blue, I think? Or are you talking about Halo Wars? 'Cause I'm aware they were working on a new project, but I don't have much information on it (hint-hint-gimmelinks). What problems were they having, anyway? The Mircosoft interference?

I think that the first two years of the Wii was great because it attracted so much new gamers and casual gamers alike with games like Wii Fit, Cooking Mama, ect... but I think its about time to cater to the true fans that kept the system alive by bring out more games like a new Zelda game built from scratch for the Wii, Twilight Princess was good but it was meant to be a Gamecube game from the beginning. They need to friggin announce an Animal Crossing and a true Donkey Kong adventure game, no more of that DK Conga blast whatever garbage. I think many of you feel the same way.

They did announce an Animal Crossing game for the Wii. It goes online where you can visit other people's towns and such. It was announced in the Nintendo press conference.

They announced they they are working on the next zelda title for the Wii.... They said this time it will have ochestrated music and ground up motion controls for the sword swings to where it will actually match your swings in real life.

I wonder what the theme will be in this one or if it will be a sequel to Twilight Princess.

i've only had a wii for like 4 months-i totally feel that way,
its at times i wonder if i should just save for a ps3 because of the games but i've always been a nintendo girl so =\

theres supposed to be a new street fighter game coming out on 360 and ps3quite soon and i'm hoping they make a wii version

Anyone else excited about the new Assassin's Creed coming out? I think the graphics are amazing and it seems so much better than the first.
