Re: Is 'The Dark Knight' for Kids?
Way I see it, a movie is a movie tbh. Only the mentally ill and gullible idiots get roped into doing what the characters are doing.

What do you mean? Nowadays tv may be stupider and all, but its not like its all bad. At least g4 and the discovery channel and stuff is still okay. |

Re: Is 'The Dark Knight' for Kids?
I would let a kid 8-9 and up see the movie. I hate the term "kids" now because, based
on how violent things are nowadays, a six year old child could currupt his classmates with foul languange from currupt parenting. Take me for example. I've learned about things a teen would know when I was like, 7, from having certain kids in my class. The society is so currupt now, that it really doesn't matter. Besides, most moms fucking baby their child as long as they can (which I find fucking annoying). I'm a scout and their's this kid who's my age (13) yet he acts like my 10 year old brother. A immature baby who has his mom do everything. As for the nightmares, everybody has them, just suck it up and quit bitching. |

G4 is for faggots, and all those documentary/learning channels are sub-par. I could find that information on wikipedia. Honestly, movies are getting worse too. Now, all we care about are action and special effects.

Yet I'm sure you still watch alot of T.V. and se alot of movies,we all do.T.V. provides a world of entertainment, people just take things too far.The worst thing to happen to mankind is mankind,it all balances out either way. As for the movie I think it's PG-13 for a reason, but if a kid is mature enough about it at age ten then let him see it.All kids nowadays live in a world full off negative shit that I didnt find out about till I was in my teens, but exposure and handeling are two totally different things.A seven year old might know alot about sex for his age,but might not be mature enough to keep his dirty thoughts to himself,or resist laughing at sex terms.

Re: Is 'The Dark Knight' for Kids?
It's not a matter if it's for kids or not. It's whether a person's mature enough and can tolerate and understand the content. Some adults, for example, can't even stand that stuff. If a kid can stand it, then they should be allowed to go watch it.

Re: Is 'The Dark Knight' for Kids?
Hm..I don't know about other kids..but I didn't find it "that" bad..since I'm 12, I would consider myself as a kid..
I liked it a lot..Good movie..weird ending..When things poped out that scared me, but not like a nightmare sorta way. It just depends on which kid it is..if that kid gets to scared of things, then I recommend not letting them see it..

Re: Is 'The Dark Knight' for Kids?
i have watched the dark knight and yes, it is violent. the thoughts it provokes is spine tingling but true.
i find joker fascinating. he's like hannibal lecter. ♥ well, when it came to children below thirteen not watching this movie, i say this depends on the environment the child is in. sometimes, even children in their 13s are still uncorrupted. others have well matured into the world of violence than a 30 year old is. it just depends on the upbringing. my imoto is just 10 years old and she watches horror and gore movies alone. (well, we come from a movie-oriented family). i, myself, have not watched (or censored nor rated) those movies. i think she did the hills have eyes 2. and that's way beyond pg13. so, if it were my sister, i'd let her watch dark knight. i trust that she is mature enough to understand what the characters and the plot truly stands for. it's just a matter of decision. if you think the kid can take it, then let 'em have it.

Re: Is 'The Dark Knight' for Kids?
Ehh. Was not that bad. The only part that was just down right cruel yet so amazingly satisfying was Joker's vanishing pencil trick.lmfao You have to have a deep imagination (and children do) to shiver from that...

Re: Is 'The Dark Knight' for Kids?
No part of the movie was that scary, he should have actualy cut a smile on some of thier faces. The way he talked and walked it looked like he was doing drugs before making the movie.
