bal and Miburo make some valid points here, Shino less so. In my humble opinion, threatening to ban someone for any length of time solely because they talk trash about you is stupid. I know people are going to disagree with this, but reacting angrily to taunting at all, whether in real life or over the Internet (especially over the Internet though) makes you weak-minded and weak-willed. If someone's insulting you, the best way to show that you're better than them is to simply not give a damn, although demolishing their arguments works too and is much more fun to watch. To let it get to you enough to ban someone, or start a fight IRL, drags you not to their level, but lower, so that even if you win, you lose.

Also, what bal said above.
