As I said, it all depends on the interaction of the people she is affiliated with. If nobody bothers to boost her self-esteem, nothing's going to happen, but if somebody close to her were to start encouraging her, someone who she has a high opinion of, then she'd eventually overcome her timid self.

Also, if nobody cares, I don't think she's weak enough to become emo. she'd still be shy, but she'd also still strive for acknowledgment to some degree.

The only way she would be as strong as she is would be if she had one-on-one time with someone really strong, like Naruto had with Jiraiya. Otherwise, I'd say she'd be weaker. She finds her inspiration in him. Without him there, she has nowhere to draw it from.

That's why you put your membership into your own sig. That way you know where you're a member, because it acts as a reminder. Kind of like a red string tied around your finger to remind you about the dentist appointment, or a broken condom to remind you how you became a father when a baby shows up at your doorstep in the hands of your ex-girlfriend.
