faith is a common theme in naruto and life after death has been used numerous times. i think you mean religous faith and the after life?
why would it be stupid about being half dead and talking to his father? naruto was half dead numerous times to be brought back with kyuubi or other source.
it seems to me its a near death experience. he was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. will he be saved or will he die will we find out next chapter? maybe maybe not.

Kakashi isnt going to die. He still has to teach naruto the FTG jutsu.

I don't think he's dead yet. We need to know how he got the Mangekyou Sharingan, and if he's dead, there's no way we'd fine out. Kakashi also knows a lot about Minato, which is something Naruto needs to hear as Kakashi was once a student studying under Naruto's father.

Actually we believe he got the Mangekyou from facing Itachi.

That was not explained in the manga however. According to data base there, Kishi states that we should look out for how Kakashi obtained the Mangekyou Sharingan, as it would be revealed in the following chapters.

When Kakashi states that if he uses MS again, he would die, I think he is not referring to the MS use literally killing him, but his incapacitated state afterwards leaving him wide open for a coup de grace.

He'd be defenceless, and unconscious, so anyone walking by could just kill him with almost zero effort. I think he'd assume Pain would just walk over and end him.

MS comes from killing or watching someone close to u die. Sasuke saw Itachi die but dint get MS until he cried. Killing someone close to u or watching them die would likely bring tears to one's eyes. I think that Kakshi finally shed a tear for obito or he either shed a tear or 2 when he saw Rin die, and learned to use MS later since it wasnt that simple for him to immediately use since he isnt Uchiha.

I think that Kakashi's statement about MS killing him was more toward meaning that using it too much completely drained him of chakra, which is likely one's life force as well. Sasuke was said to be out of chakra and about to die after his fight with Itachi. If u use up all the chakra that u have, u are likely left on the brink of death. Kakashi wont die but he is on death's doorstep

This question is funny because once again no one is right. The writer has openly left this for debate. I'm going to say he is either almost dead or is dying. Of course I really don't want Kakashi to die but shit happens. I'm more of the type of person that waits til the movie is over to pass judgment. who knows maybe he could come back that again is up to the writer.
