Thanks. While I'm working at this, you should check out Chase Jarvis' portfolio. He's got incredibly varied styles, and he shoots a lot of magazine and billboard ads.

Oh yeah... I've actually seen this site. My friend showed me it. He idolizes this guy!

The thing that I like about Chase is that he takes amazing photos, but he's also get excellent behind the scenes videos as well that show how he and his crew set up for and do various shoots. He seems like a really great guy.

While I'm at it, which shot of my Grandpa do you think is better:

I prefer the expression of the first, but the composition of the second. Right now I'm leaning towards the second.

I like the second one because the lighting is perfect. The first one is kind of dark.

All it takes to lighten the first is a couple of clicks in Adobe Camera RAW. Still the second?

I still like the second one. The first one looks like your spying on him sort of. The second one looks more natural. Hard to explain
