I'm currently like obsessed with Modest Mouse right now. Some friends of mine say their just a modern Talking Heads but I think their alot more than that. Good guitar riffs, underlying messages, chilling vocals, and the music really flows. Alot of their stuff gives me the chills at how it sounds.

If you wanna check'em out try these songs first before looking anything hardcore Modest Mouse up:

Dashboard
Float On
Ocean Breathes Salty
Fire It Up
Fly Trapped In a Jar
Missing The Boat

Also another good band is The Mars Volta, for those of you into prog rock. I really dig their falsetto vocals, it's almost as high as Geddy Lee. Plus the guitar never sounds like a guitar, he uses a different guitar effect every song, it's never raw guitar. Not to say its distortion but it just isn't raw guitar. I'm seeing them live in 2 weeks with my friend who got me into them and I'm really looking forward to it.

oh Shiz. I hear that song everyday here in the office, i just didnt bother to check out the artist. lol i love that song, though Lil Wayne pretty much ruined it. He's not even singing, he's more like babbling or something.

Just listened to one of their songs called Oblivion.
The song is kind of weird but it sounds nice at the same time.

omg... i love j-rock.... especially Japanese metal bends like Maximum The Hormone! they rock! the GazettE is a really good band 2... L'arc ~en~Ciel is ok... And Acid Black Cherry is another good one. ABC's Spell Magic vid was hilarious!
