They tried to fix this error, and in the patch release notes they said "In some cases this will not work." They knew they hadn't fully fixed it, and that was back in January. Obviously the game is complicated, but surely they could figure out how to give us the option of aborting/restarting quests or just plain skipping scenes. Either one of those could possibly be a viable workaround. And regardless of how complicated it is, I expect games to be free of game breaking glitches. Simple as that.
