Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28
I can't say I only like heroic romance though. One of my favorite romance's is Before Sunrise, and that is just a couple walking around in Vienna.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28
at least jane austen's books aren't about a gay sparkly vampire who creeps on a girl that's almost 100 years younger than him and they fall in love.
i mean, who would ever write a book like that ?....wait.... i think jane austen's books are decent . some of them are kind of boring though, imo.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28
well, i like dimwitted romances, that's why i read shojo manga <3
their slowness is cute, cause they're shy but yes, jane austins sentances are ridiculous and bothersome. the last novel i read was good omens, by neil gaiman and terry pratchett. i found it quite funny but, of course, a very simple easy read i'd like to see alucard drink that girls blood, then let edward and her duke it out. it'd be hilarious... in my mind

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28
Hellsing is so fucking horrible. They give Alucard god-like powers and from there on it is basically just him destroying everybody else.

Oh and my Grandmom just gave me some book Escape from Reason for Christmas. Not only does that sound horrible, but what is even more horrible is that I will now have to read it and discuss it.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28
I hate it when grandparents do that.
actually my mother did that to me as well. i beleive one was called "the beauty book" about girls bodies maturing... most. awkward. gift. ever. she also gave doug and i a book called "love and respect" which has some pretty solid basic ideas, which it reapeats over and over and over again for like 300 or 400 pages or something. needless to say, i barely read 5 pages, and i BS my way through it when she asks about it.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28
Christmas follows a routine pattern at my house, it goes along the lines of
mum - "what do you want for christmas?" me - "oh i dunno, i'm not really fussed" mum - "well you better think of something and tell me otherwise you get nothing" me - "meh ok, so what do you want?" mum - "oh i dunno" me - "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUU-"
