Yeah I kind of surmised that myself. I'm vaguely aware that plenty of stations in other countries broadcast propaganda of varying degrees. For example, there are a few shows I watch that come from the BBC, one being Top Gear. It's an automotive enthusiast show if you didn't know, and it's pretty damn good/funny. Jeremy Clarkson the main host is pretty fond of beating up on the yanks as it were. Which is fine, I don't get bent out of shape about it, but it seems like there are so many folks on the internet in particular that appear to be utterly convinced that Americans are nothing but a nation of obese, stupid, rowdy fucktards.

There's plenty of reasons for people to get their tits in a twist over America but at least it has a personality, unlike Canada which comes across internationally as bland nice-guy. America, Australia and the UK manage to be more memorable by being magnificent bastards.

All of the powerful countries in history have been imperialists. The reason is because it makes fighting war look better than it actually is. The people in power think, "Hey, we can actually win this." To be frank, I don't think Canada could have ever said that.

That wasn't meant to sound like an insult. It is just the reality. I don't think that power causes corruption, but it certainly makes it a hell of a lot easier.
