And yeah, I never used to use interwebs lingo offline. But I saw my dog fall down the steps that lead off my deck because of all the snow the other day and said "lol." Like 'lul,' not 'ell oh ell.' Yeah, internet speak IRL is dumb. All the people who play video games and try to hard to act different use it. I speak real English because laughing is much easier than saying "lol." Instead of saying "fail" or some dumb shit like that, I just laugh.

I occasionally call people 'noobs' or 'scrubs' if they suck at doing something.

If I see someone get their ass handed to them in some way, I usually would yell 'RAPED!' or 'OWNED!'.

First time I ever heard it was playing Socom II on PS2, same with 'owned' and 'raped'.

Not that I'm saying they originated on Socom II, just that it's where I first heard them used in such a way.

I often find myslef saying, "That made me laugh", rather than lol, as it denotes that i actually did use an auditory exclamation.

when people say lol to somehtign that isn't outrageously funny, usually i just assume that lol is a filler, or thrown in so it's not akward.

i hate "be ar be" much more than "lol"

not an internet work but i called someone a wench a week or two ago.

Oh, and I stopped using "fail" sometime around 2007, when all the hipster idiots in school discovered LOLCATS (Caturday, thankyou), and people around me started using memes that were already old and shit.
