I predict...

1. its the "real dead" Madara in the coffin and Tobi is a Zetsu clone POSSIBLY with Madara's eyes and part of his chakra. This would explain why he is so much weaker and can teleport like (similar to) Zetsu... Also his slimy looking replacement arm (he was standing in front of a "Zetsu like" statue or plant when he replaced it).

2. its Rikkudo Sennin the coffin which would be an amazing feat since he was dead sooooo long ago that he was thought to be a myth.. This would explain Madara's response of "HOW DID YOU DO THIS?".

3. It's Madara's brother in the coffin and there will be a whole bunch more to their history revealed (unlikely but i wish).

4. it's the First Hokage in the coffin and Madara was suprised since the first's soul was sealed by the third in the Oro v. Third fight in Pt.1. Madara May "Have to listen" or else get served another arse wuppin.

5. Last but not least it's the Fourth Hokage and Madara is like "How Did you do this?" because his soul was sealed in the Kyuubii fight when he sealed the fox in Naruto. I haven't determined why Madara would "Have to listen" but this would play along with Naruto needing to rid himself of anger in order to control the Kyuubii. Naruto would FLIP OUT if he saw daddy being used as a puppet and... BOOM KYUUBII!!!! somehow Kishi would make his cash cow Naruto survive the ordeal.


I think #1 and #5 are the most likely. Let me know your thoughts.... please... i'm lonely and need someone to speak to... will it be you???

I am leaning towards the real Madara being the one in the coffin because this would just be so cool. Id like to see it be the fourth, so many cool scenarios could come up with the fourth.

The fourth got chumped by madara as he is now so I dont see him fearing someone he could chump again. RS probably isnt either because Nagatos already there so why use 2 RGs.

IMO it has to be the real madara because that would mean tobi cant claim to be someone thats clearly standing before him (soul and all). So by revealing this to the shinobi alliance. Tobi true idenity could be revealed (Juubi IMO), thus allowing the alliance to come up with a strategy to beat him.

I am under the impression that Edo Tenseii brings people back from when tehy were their strongest. this would mean RS when he was the JUUBII host AND have the original Rinnegan. From what we've heard of RS, Nagato's RG seemed like RG lite.

For the sake of discussion, does Madara have anyone close to him? Children, etc? I don't know if it has ever been discussed or revealed but maybe Madara has a connection to someone that he does not want known?

I imagine the coffin does have the real body and that Tobi is an impostor, but just curious to see what other people think.

I think it's more likely to be Shishui than Obito...

or it could be Danzou in there and he could spill the beans about a secret arrangement that Madara and him had which could defuse Sasuke's rage toward Konoha and redirect it towards Madara, this would also want Madara make Kabuto maintain extra distance from each other until the end of the war....
oooorrrrr Madara could've taken a gay lover and killed him a fit of jealousy and doesn't want anyone to know because he would be the laughing-stock of the ninja world.

That statement could mean anything.... just like the rest of the quotes from this issue.

it cant be the first hokage cuz there would have been no need to hide him from us same with minato so it could be either madara or rikodu sennin but by the looks of the expressions madara was giving off its someone he fears and did anyone see his face when kabuto was reverse summoning the coffin im bettin he is figurin out a way to double cross kabuto

OK. Madara is the obvious choice for a TON of reasons. No real need to go on listing them as its been said already time and time again. Primarily being the ongoing speculation that Tobi isnt actually Madara. Tobi needs Madara's identity to maintain his credibility with Sasuke.

The 1st Hokage. Yes, his soul should be sealed in the Shinigami but we dont know to what extent Kabuto has improved the resurrection jutsu. Maybe its now possible. Why would it scare Tobi? I think thats pretty obvious. He's been beaten before and could reveal Tobi to be an imposter.

The 4th Hokage. Again, above explanation as to the Shinigami. Yet another guy that could put a hurtin on Tobi and possibly reveal him as an imposter.

Rikudou Sage. This one to me seems a longshot, but still intriquing. Would definately put Kabuto in the madman category to summon someone who, above anyone else, have the potential to beat the control of the jutsu that Kabuto has, and thus turn on him. Plus, RS given the opportunity, would almost without a doubt completely unravel all of Tobi's plans single handedly. I don't really seeing Edo Tensei having the potential to resurrect and essentially duplicate Rikkudo Sage with the Juubi.

Madara's brother. Assuming that Tobi actually IS Madara, who else has the potential to change Madara's mind more than his brother. What would Madara do if confronted by his brother? Who the hell knows?

Anyone else? I just really dont know. Haven't seen any candidates that would really frighten Tobi the way he was IMO.

to the bold and under lined above... i believe the conclusion has been drawn that Edo Tensei brings a person back at their peak (dont read the databooks but from what i've read in this forum it's a "fact"). thus it's not up to you to believe it, it's up to you to know it.

i dont think the ressurection jutsu that Kabuto did can bring back the 1st, 2nd 3rd or 4th hokage because they are in Shinigami. because if he was able, then it begs to question: can he bring back the kyuubi (dark half) that was sacrificed with the 4th hokage? that would be a twist, because madara can control it and sacrifice it to gedo mazo
