Holy shit, the tv show 24 is awesome. I honestly didn't watch a single episode until last week. Now, seasons 1 through 7 are on Netflix instant. Halfway through the third season, goddamn Jack Bauer is one manly/hardcore motherfucker.

It's about a fictional government agency (CTU, Counter Terrorist Unit). Every season is formatted in a such a fashion that the agency must thwart a threat over 24 hours (hence the name 24), and every episode takes place in "real time" and comprises an "hour" of that 24. The crisis takes place along a few different character threads, but the main thread is with Jack Bauer, an ex Special Forces operative, who will do anything to get the job done.

tl;dr It's fucking awesome.

Hmm. I saw like ten minutes of one episode and thought it seemed kinda dumb with the whole time thing going. But if a heroic OH comrade says it's good, then I'll definitely check it out. Especially if you're saying it's manly, since you like a lot of the same manly shit I do. Fuck yeah.

I thought the exact same thing a few years ago when I saw an episode. I was like, "WTF is this shit?" But when you watch a series like this from the very beginning, you kinda come around.
