Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
The broader point I'm trying to convey is that the Jinchuriki host are somehow tied to the familly of the Kage in each village either through direct blood or through siblings or marraige

Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
Yes, but 4th Hokage was present Kage at time so it has nothing to do with Tsunade.

Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
Here's the reason that a potential relation between Naruto and Tsunade is unnecessary.
Motoi said: "In order to ensure that the jinchuuriki wouldn't turn traitor, it's been common since long ago for them to be chosen from among the spouses and siblings of the five kages, or others who are close blood relatives. The strength of the jinchuuriki served to protect the kage, the head of the village, as well as serving as a display of the kage's power" Tsunade's choice as hokage was done because she was a powerful, legendary ninja and also a student of the Third's - which would allow for the continuation of Hurizen's legacy and continued stability in the village (I think the Third was fairly well liked.) So, not only is she related to the Senju and talented, she was a student along with the man who was the sensei of Minato (Jiraiya), who's son is the jinchuuriki - who was also taught by Jiraiya. Add that to the fact that it was Jiraiya AND Naruto who convinced Tsunade to take the mantle of Hokage, you have a direct endorsement of Konoha's Jinchuuriki for her to be Hokage. The blood relation is unnecessary. (Really should have had this argument in earlier - feels a little late to the table already. Oh well.) |

Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
With everything that's been going on anyway, wouldn't it be really fucking stupid if Tsunade just comes out with: "Me and Dan had too much sake one night and 3 weeks later I discovered I was pregnant with your Daddy Naruto. Sorry to have kept that from you."
Tsunade and Naruto are totally not related. Tell me something, if you fighting a giant demon fox who was destroying everything in sight and killin everybody, and the first baby in your head was your own son, do you think you would give a flying fuck about making sure that the jink you're about to make is going to be related to a future kage? Nope.

Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
I would buy it if it turned out that Minato was the 2nd's grandson. After all, they have the same hair style. IT is just different colors. Not saying that that makes them related, just saying its something they have in common

Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
Yahiko and Naruto have the same hairstyle. Danzo and Tobi have similiar hairstyles.
Konohamaru and Tsunades bro have the same hairstyle. Without any other evidence than hairstyle, it's a sad point.

Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
yet people still cite it as evidence supporting Tobi = Obito.

Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
Ok, Naruto can't possibly be related to Tsunade, plus Naruto calls Tsunade "granny" out of respect, not because they're related. And some of you guys keep forgetting that the strongest person in the village is most likely chosen as the Hokage. Yes, Hashirama and Tobirama were chosen as 1st and 2nd Hokage but I don't think the people at that time cared about which family should have the title of Kage. And as for Naruto being a senju? It is possible but I think what Madara was referring to is that Naruto is a representation of the Senju clan and that the Will of Fire has been passed onto him.

Re: Naruto and "Granny" Tsunade
^thank you, finally someone that understands that the dub's "Granny Tsunade" is really Tsunade-baa-sama which is meant to be (somewhat) respectful, not insulting or LITERAL.
