I really hope they're being vague with the spoilers (Naruto didn't kick its ass yet). I liked the Persona approach...After the shadow is bruised and swollen, then, then the two merge together to form a true self, a stronger self, a persona!

I'm going to get bashed for this but people are missing the point with Naruto's inner struggle vs. his Dark Side. You can't defeat yourself through fighting, but rather through understanding. You have to completely understand every part of your innerself before he can become one with the Kyuubi. He can't have any regrets or hold any hardfeelings towards others. You have to be one with yourself. You don't accomplish this through pummelling your darkside even though this would make for some good action scenes. Let's save the shit stomping fights for when Naruto wrecks the remaining 4 stooges (Sasuke, Madara, Kisame, Kabuto). I am looking forward to the 9 Tail Rasenshurikens Naruto will be slinging in Kyuubi Mode.

I personally could care less how Naruto beats his dark side. Whichever way is the quickest so that i can see Naruto master the Kyuubi and see some awesome fights i dont care. I am getting tired of Naruto's hugs and kisses attitude but hopefully we'll see some fights soon to make up for it.

As much as I love that Facepalm picture, Numinous, I'm sure you know but I will point out anyway that "embrace" can also mean "accept" - it does not necessarily mean Naruto is going to win with a hug. Although, it would be utterly hilarious.
