Re: Official MMA thread.

yea i saw the last few fights, the gilbert yvel fight which was a bit cool, pat barry vs crocop which was insane and crocop funny asking for bonus and last the destruction of Chucks chin. I read around that the first fights were some bad refering and judging, but can't say.

Also Barry needs to get some killer instinct, if he were aggressive in last night fight he would have beat down CC but he was too happy when he saw CC he even dropped hands and hugged him, save that shit for later dude.

Looks like UFC 116 and 117 are shaping up to be good ones.

116, even though Brock is dangerous as fuck, I gotta go with Carwin. Also, while I like both Wandy and Sexyama, how could you root against Wandy nowadays?

117, though partly amusing, hopefully we won't get the same ridiculous behavior out of Anderson Silva this time, and I can't believe I am saying this, but I am actually slightly rooting for Sonnen. Also, I like JDS, but I can't help rooting for Roy Nelson, geaux fat guy! And finally, my boy Clay Guida is on the card, fuck yeah

Same picks, pretty much. I think Sonnen is a douche. But I'll always root for a douche that wrestles over a douche that doesn't. =p

Definitely would bet on Carwin.

Trying to find a stream for Strikeforce: LA. I don't think I have showtime, and I think that's what it is airing on.

True, but as manly as wrestling is, Jon Fitch utilizes it to be the most boring fighter alive.

The guy is fucking win. He works as a full time mechanical engineer, while having an undefeated record in the most competitive MMA promotion out there.

The only two fights I care about are Zaromskis vs Santos, and Babalu vs. Lawler.

Re: Official MMA thread.

TUF finale so far so good, some good fights here

Edit: Cool ref chick :P. Crap Jardine is gonna be out of the UFC :/ stupid bs point deduction. And the stoppage of that Chris Lebens fight was crap too but anyway simpson wasn't gonna win it anyway.

Edit 2: Video of Brock Lesnar training with Couture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzLZ7EOJdeI

Yeah, there are a lot of wrestlers that shame wrestling in MMA. Lay n' Pray shit isn't good use of wrestling, since wrestling is about control and continuous improvement of position. Though, sometimes LnP is cried too much. If the dude on bottom is keeping his guard closed and tying hands up and shit it can be really tough to do shit from there. But if the dude is opening up his guard trying to escape or sweep and shit then the guy on top should be looking to pass. That shit pisses me off.

Only got home in time to see the Hammil, Leben, and finale fights. Didn't think he should have lost a point for that either. Don't think it effected the decision though, so eh. Hammil did pretty well though, deserved the win. Aaron Simpson looked good the first round. Didn't commit to the takedowns in the second. Probably would have been finished shortly afterward anyway, so didn't care about the stoppage. The druggie dude that won the finals looked pretty good. Didn't watch much of TUF season, since the last one was such garbage.

There was a fight after the finals with some massive dude beating the shit out of some british fag from last TUF. I liked that.
