I think there needs to be some kind of advantage to having those Zetsu besides the number. Kabuto wants one. Tobi treats them like goldmines despite how weak they are in combat. Kabuto does have a plan to make one stronger, therein lies the key...

We know a single Zetsu can mimic a subject down to its unique chakra type. Imagine a Zetsu with chakra reserves to match the uniqueness of the copied chakra type? A Raikage could be copied... Of course, this is all theoretical... Maybe, somehow, those Zetsu can be injected with large doses of chakra, making their perfect clone ability, actually usable in combat. This is all theoretical of course. Not sure if it has been mentioned (probably has with all of these Zetsu theories popping up everywhere, I haven't the time to read all of them). If this hasn't been mentioned in its "entirety", I coin it now!

Madara was better off using a ninjutsu to create zombie soldiers or something.

The Zetsu thing is retarded bro.

Zetsu is lacking physical strength. He could easily get slaughtered. The copying thing is getting annoying. We already seen this happened to Shodai and Pain. Too many people want to be like one character and yeah. It's becoming annoying.

Zetsu already have the Byakugan or some doujutsu like it. Maybe he can just upgrade his powers somehow and then use his own unique abilities. THAT WOULD BE COOL. Instead of robbing others. The Uchiha done too much of that in this manga.

That's exactly why I said given it more chakra. If it has the chakra to match Raikage, then, once it mimics Raikage's chakra type, it can essentially be a perfect copy, not that weak ass substitute for a diversion. I agree with you on that the copying thing, it's redundant.

Those chakra blasts suck in my opinion.

It was awesome when Naruto went four tails and done it.

Now it sucks.

I think it sucked when Bee done it on Suigetsu. He managed to take a full hit blast. WTF? and the sword survived as well. BUT the Raikage shattered it.

Does this mean Raikage's superior strength > 8 tails Blast?

That blast should of vaporized that sword. Strange.

The clone thing is very gay. Naruto been doing this clone thing. Pain been doing this clone thing. Kisame been doing this clone thing and now ZETSU who is doing this clone thing.

Wasn't it mentioned somewhere that Akatsuki was working with "small villages?"
I'm sure some small villages has the most badass remnants from the founding of the ninja world and would participate in this war.

It's better off that way anyway. But then again they would be outnumbered against a shinobi alliance. :\

Maybe without Pain, Akatsuki lost the support of the small villages, since Pain is the champion of the small villages who stop the bullying of the big villages. I think the most badass ninja can be found in the Hidden Rain Village. Pain describe his Hidden Rain Village is fill with war refugees, missing-nin who doesnt want to be found, drifters, criminals.

Seems like a place where wanted people tend to stay low.

And without a powerful leader, i doubt Hidden Rain will participate. You cant unite those kind of people under a pansy leader, they will overthrow him in seconds.
