Artan has a nasty habit of thinking he can just jump on board things without watching the important things.

Like that time he though he could fly that plane to Borneo after ignoring the instructional video on how to fly an airliner.

But yeah, I don't need to watch 22 episodes to appreciate the good design of the EVA model. =.= I will, but I don't neeeed to. I was just gonna use it for positions... ._.

Eva pushed a bunch of boundaries when it first came out
and had a concept that was different than what most peopel were used to in animated films (i'm saying this about non-japan, obviously, they've always liked weird shit over there)

as far as mech's go, the idea of interfacing with an organic being that's wrapped in metal, and the idea that it wont always work with you was different than other mech's, where the robots were just tools that humans drove...

anywas, Rei is HAWT
and Asuka is... ok.

but mostly Tabris/Kaworu is the best

I really want Der Mond....

TL;DR: it's probably my favourite anime as well

Second, maybe. I'd like to watch it again when I have the time, but for now Basilisk and Gundam Wing are tied for my favourite.
