I have an extremely expensive hobby right now. I like to collect mystic themed statues, usually dragon related. And I have a small dagger collection. Unfortunately everything is in storage because I live in a dorm right now.

such as your "cling to toys for life" statement.
you are making a statement about other people an objects, in a factual manor
"it seems to me like you cling to these toys for dear life" is a way of saying how you feel with an acknowledgment that it is your own opinion.


example:
"YOU DON'T LOVE ME!"
or
"When you do "insert happening here", it doesn't make me feel very loved and appreciated, although i believe that's not what you intended"

note: relationships work much better when you explain things in this manner, rather than just accusing people
and listening, try to listen more than you talk

The 'cling to toys for life' statement wasn't related to my previous post. I moved on from that kind of argument. You bringing it back as an example to this matter in order to make me seem wrong is dumb on your part.

Even in my ''cling on to toys for life'' post in one of the previous pages the statement wasn't intended in a factual manner. It was supposed to be a sarcastic statement rather than a factual one. Read the whole sentence again and you would get it. I'am sure you would be perceptive of the content of sarcasm used in that statement.

what you want to say is "when you take my words out of context, it makes me feel like you don't really listen to all that i have to say, although i know you don't intend to hurt me by doing so"

and then i'd explain, "Oh baby, i didn't realize you felt that way, i will try to remember in the future to use the quote function on the whole paragraph instead"
then we'd be back in love

a person can assume sarcasm in text they read, but sarcasm is the art of implication through tone of voice, to lead some one to beleive your statement means the opposite of what it does.
text can not be in a sarcastic tone.
i can not agree with you on the basis of physical limitations which i experience.
i live in a world with fixed physics, where written words are not vocal.

but we can reach a compromise dear, we don't have to separate, it doesn't have to be like this!

The statues sound pretty kickass. Dragons are beautiful. I have a friend who designs dragons for posters and shit. It's pretty cool. =D
