Dragon Age 2, Guild Wars, Elder Scrolls and to a lesser extent Lord of the Rings War in the North... might as well give in and buy a D&D set too.

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)
Buy me weekly tickets and I'll be there early.
Though I think Guild Wars might be the way, 3 more classes to be announced, latest has been Guardian which is like a Tank-Medic. |

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)
Oh, never really played it before. But I figure with all these RPG games coming out this year, it might be time to invest in a 20 sided die. Closest I got to D&Dish would be Baldur's Gate I guess... console versions though, so maybe not so much.

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)
It's fun but not for everyone. I like it because it combines two of my favorite hobbies videogames and literature. I'm not that great at the rp part of it but I enjoy the mechanics of the game, the story provided by the gm and the creative aspect of the game.
One of my current games I'm playing a halfling oracle named Fenton Tallcrippler. He has a lame leg and a wolf he rides named Fenrir(yeah I know its a bit retarded I named my pet after the world devourer) |

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)
Retarded? Shi-, I think if you have a pet wolf you can ride you're pretty much allowed to call him whatever the fuck you want, I doubt many would question it. Would name my son Fenrir.

Anything Norse mythology is win. Had I a pet snake, I would surely name him Jörmungand.

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)
If I played D&D my dude would be some sort of warrior who grapples fucking ogres and shit. I'd waste all my skill up feat points on shit like unarmed strike and disarm stuff and battle with fists. My dude's life goal would be to punch a dragon in the face until it dies.
If there are people who need assistance, I'd heroically help them out. Especially if they're chicks. If they're dudes, I'll suggest that they man up while I am rescuing them. I'd have a thing for elf chicks, since I heard somewhere that they're hairless below the eyebrows. Which is good, since I would bet chicks don't shave too often in D&D world and I don't want to be encountering any massive bush. I'd let my comrades have all the loot too, since I only care for battle. Not stupid trinkets. Unless they're anti-magic armors and shit. I don't want to get killed by some pussy mage. Also, fuck yeah Dragon Age. Comes out in around a month. Don't really care about a demo. Will play it if someone leaks it early though. MvC3 DLC, is that going to be free? I saw some characters are going to be DLC. I'll be slightly upset if that shit is out on release and I've got to pay extra to have a full roster. Also, Tactics Ogre for PSP will give me something to do at work, besides work which sucks so I'd like to avoid doing that as much as possible. |

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)
DnD is fun.
And I started Dragon Age. So far so good. King died a manly death. The combat is challenging, and I like it, but I am only playing on Normal, so didn't have to load so far. Just massacred some bandits. Good ol' hack n slash. The mages seem to be OP, almost. |

The enjoyment you get out of D&D is entirely dependent on who you're playing with. I could sit around and do absolutely nothing with the guys I play with and still have a good time, so D&D is fantastic. Last edited by Mal; 02-02-2011 at 08:40 PM. |
