Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)

I always go for a fighter with 2h. But yeah, when that random Circle mage joined me in that tower, paralyze and all kinds of damage dealing spells were fucking powerful. Morrigan is also pretty crazy. That's how far I got anyway.

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)

Yeah, in my first playthrough, I was a mage, with paralysing and damage spells. Like Petrify + Stone Fist = One-hit kill on non-boss enemies. My party contained of the Healer (don't know the name), Alistair as tank and Sten/Ohgren as melee damage dealer. And well, I just overkilled the most of the enemies in the later game. At the beginning you have to really look out because you have no equip what-so-ever. But in the end, with porno-staff and epic robe, you kick so much ass.

What I didn't like about the mage were the hats and the similar looking robes, would have loved a few more different styles.

Steam should slash a good 50% or 75% of DA1 in about a month to get some hype for the DA2 release.

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)

Holy fuck, don't get me started about a the hats...it was horrible. I walked around without a hat because they looked so bad, so so bad. And yeah, the styles were really too few. Let's hope for DA2. Also, damn, where to get a cheap windows 7 version?

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)

I think the Home Premium is around £80 on Amazon.

But yeah, the hats pissed me off, the warriors you could generally customize to look badass but the mages... holy shit. I had hats that gave great bonuses but refused to wear them because they fagged up the character.

I hope they release a character creator with the demo.

Yeah, character creator for the win.

Uh, home premium here is 77€, so that's aprox. right. But that is too much for me. Maybe I can get it from the University for a better price. I have to look that up. Or just get a key and take my friends.

Ah, there should be University deals for students, check it out.

Hope they release a lot more videos soon, or at least a few more screenshots... just one... or two... ._.

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)

Yeah, I wondered about that. There are, like you said, 2 trailers and some pics and so on. And the website also seems so...empty. I don't know if that is intentionally. But there is only one month and some days to go. I feel...so...so uninformed about this game.

Re: Dragon Age 2 (Demo release on the 23rd Feb)

What Mal Said about having the right group in d&d is very true.

My first play through was a mage and I just raped everything. Liliana as archer/rouge, Wynn as healer/sub damage, and awesome drunken dwarf Oghren damage/tank.

I heard from a friend that the game is going to be a little more linear and not have multiple origins.

Ask if any computer courses will get you access to the MSDN, where you can download a plethora of Windows software legally and for free. Download Windows 7, write down key, drop course for refund.

Also, check out Duty Calls.

Shale? That's the golem isn't it? I never got the DLC I think, and if I have it, I never got it, and I never needed it to be honest. Alistair got the armor from Raven's Keep (the DLC keep?) and was good to go for most of the game. And well, I nuked everything in the later game.
