They are stupid, if they are serious, to try and pull a stunt like suing the people that download versus the ones that actually make the content available online for download.

It's far cheaper to pay for VPN proxy access by iPreadator or $/month subscription to an FTP site (preferably one using Secure FTP). I've been using National-Anime.com since 2005. Dunno if they have secure FTP, butI've never had a problem. I got a DMCA take down once from a torrent on Horrible Subs. First one ever, and I've been downloading torrents since the good ol days. Now I don't torrent to public trackers, and usually find a network not attached to my identity to use.

Edit: I take that back, National-Anime has secure FTP servers requiring similar security a bank or store website uses for transactions. People sniffing the network traffic can't pick out and discern the data without knowing the exact encryption key. Sure NA could get supopena'd, but all they have is people paying for a service.

Never used torrent download for my anime so I don't think this will affect me unless they begin chasing after streaming sites
