I thought most brits put lemon in their tee, instead of milk?

Re: Cooking Time

Lemon is mainly for Earl Grey or at times some herbal teas.

Nice. My mother just gave me some new tea, I have to try out - "Celestial Green Tea, goji Berry Pomegranate" and "Celestial Seasonings, Vanilla-honey-chamomille"

Re: Cooking Time

So, I'm told there is a little sporting event going on this weekend in the U.S. of A. Not sure what the appeal of the Super Bowl is, but one thing I do know is that it is a great weekend to eat terribly.

I do not like football, but I love the food. I'm already started on my chili which I'll probably eat for the next 4-5 days. ;-)

Black Beans (1cup) soaked overnight in boiling hot watter.
Two onions
4 cloves garlic
1 red pepper
7-8 button mushrooms
one can tomatoes
As much ground meat as you want, I'm using 4 sausages that I will skin and crumble because I can't find any in the freezer.
5 strips bacon
5 small red chilis
4 tbsp Chili powder
1 tbsp Cumen
1 tbsp Oregano
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp black pepper

Simply, I toss it all into a slow cooker with an appropriate amount of water to make sure it doesn't dry out. Cook on high to bring to simmer, cook on low 6-8 hours. Just in time for Hockey Night in Canada. ;-)

Re: Cooking Time

Red or White onions? I'd take red ones. Also, I would personally insert more chili and black pepper. But that is personal opinion. It looks very tasty...I think for my Superbowl meal I'll have "Käsespätzle".

Re: Cooking Time

I have a hot chili powder, so I reduce the amount I use. And anyone has the right to alter the spices to fit their needs. I hear good things about this Cumin. (Oh, OG)

I use white onion.

Re: Cooking Time

If you like avocado, I found something you guys might like:

Avocado Fries
1 avocado, sliced into ¼ inch slices

½ cup milk

½ cup flour

1 egg, beaten

Canola oil, for frying

Lime Sriracha Mayo

½ cup mayonnaise

Juice from ½ lime

Sriracha, or other spicy chili sauce

Fill a skillet with oil until it’s about ¼ – ½ inch full. Heat on high until oil sputters when a drop of water is dropped in.

Place the milk, flour and egg into three separate shallow dishes. Beat about a tablespoon of water into the egg mixture. Take a slice of avocado and dunk in milk, then the flour, then the eggs, then back in the flour. Place each slice on a plate until you’ve dunked the whole batch in batter.

Slowly add the slices to the oil. You don’t want to overcrowd the pan, so stop before they all start touching each other. After about a minute you’ll see the edges turning brown, this means it’s time to flip them over. Allow to cook for another minute and then remove them from the skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towels.

To make the mayonnaise, mix together the mayo, lime juice and sriracha. Add the Sriracha to taste depending on how spicy you want it. Serve along side your avocado fries and enjoy!

Going to make these tonight. Will tell you how they turn out and any alterations I make :3

Re: Cooking Time

Made it. Was amazing. I used a couple scoops of adobo sauce instead of the other chili/spice/whatever [family and friend prefer the taste] and it turned out great. I did double the amount of sauce though, as I made 2 instead of one. Used a bit of salt as well and about a tablespoon of lemon juice since I like stuff tangy

I would recommend using a deep fryer if you plan on making more than one avocado, since excess flour tends to get a little scorched and doesn't taste so good when it sticks to the food :3

Re: Cooking Time

I don't know what to call this recipe, so it'll be Kina's lunch!
What do you need? Well:
Thin-cut beef sirloin tips
A few teaspoons of vegetable oil.
A cast-iron skillet.
Salt.
Pepper.
Brussel sprouts.
Worcestershire pepper mix.
Lemon juice.
Mrs. Dash Salt-Free Onion and Herb mix.
Parsley flakes.
Garlic powder.
Paprika.
Soy sauce.
Butter.
Steamer.

First, you just get some beef sirloin tips (thin cut!).

Simply salt them however you like.

Then take your brussel sprouts and throw them into a steamer for about 30 minutes.

After that, take a decent sized ziplock bag and add the following ingredients:
A couple long squirts of lemon juice.
A bit of soy sauce (I think I probably put about 2 teaspoons in).
A couple shakes of Garlic Powder.
About a teaspoon of dried parsley flakes.
Worcestershire black pepper mix (A healthy amount).
Two shakes of paprika.
Mrs. Dash salt-free Onion and Herb mix.

Now put your beef pieces into the bag. Squeeze out the air and seal it. Then just move everything around to cover. Let this sit for a few moments. Don't forget to wash your hands after handling raw meat!

Put a cast-iron pan (I guess you could use a frying pan) on medium heat. Once it's up to temperature, put a little oil up in that bitch. Now we ready to go~!
Put the beef into the pan, but be sure not to crowd the pan.

Re: Cooking Time

Let it hang out for a few moments to get some color and sear, and then flip. It won't take long at all, so be sure to keep an eye of the suckers.

Take them off and put them under tin foil to rest. Just let it ride until the veg is done.

When the veg is done, plate it. Then add salt, pepper and butter (I use a healthier substitute). Put some meat on the plate and BAM! Yummy. <3

Re: Cooking Time

Ugh, so jealous. Nice work, babe. Do you HAVE to use a cast-iron skillet, though?
