Animefan, seriously, shut the hell up. You have several people all saying the same thing: You're an idiot and your advice is shit. You have no clue what the hell you're talking about (big shocker there), and you're doing nothing but trying to shove your opinion down other people's throats. Give it up.

D) why comment? My comment was pretty self-explanatory, but perhaps too subtle for your great sage mind of advice: Kael announced he made a decision about his future while you are trying to convince him, for no reason, to change his mind and then insult his ambitions. I call "pointless shit" on the whole thing. Kael is, I assume, good with his life and it is his money and education. Let's not go to deep into trying to fix it for him.

You say only geniuses work for NASA. That would indicate, that most of the high ranking jobs in the world require a person with genius-level intelligence. That is basically what you are saying, because why would only the NASA be anything else than essentially a buisness, which generates money and costs money. By the way, NASA employers are not that well paid in contrast to stock brokers or MDs.

Now I say, if you be measured up to your own "ideas", that high level jobs need to be filled with geniuses, I assume, that less intelligent people have "lower" jobs on the hierarchical ladder of the jobmarket. Therefore I come to the conclusion, that salting fries at a McDonald is all you can do, since you are quite frankly behaving quite retarded in every post I seen of you.

And that you worked in a bank is very hard or impossible to believe, because you show no sign of...well everything that it takes to work in a bank.

To spend 7,255 dollars plus interest on a semester which he is not even getting his final degree in is not smart. NOT smart. Kind of like yo-- Eh, not worth it. My point with bringing up my brother is that he will be entering college around the same age Kael is now. So he would graduate when he was older than Kael would be (seeing as Kael has his gen eds and now know exactly what he wants to do), so your age argument isn't valid. Can you get that through your head? Also, having a dream of improving space travel isn't even that out there. He's mentioned 2 agencies he'd like to work for that both send things into the air and they-- wait for it-- travel in space. Odes that mean-- Oh dear, I think it does. Space travel. I mean, it's a dream on top of that. My dream is to work my way into a prestigious design firm and work on a creative team where we're all hotshots, famous, and drink lots of cappuccinos. While this is the dream, just working in my field would suffice.

mibs gave him the exact same advice and said he would do that if he was in the situation. i did no insult him until after he cursed at me told me to shut the hell up etc after only telling my advice would be to finish you degree since its only one more semester so you have it and if you still feel the same way then get your degree in physics. after only saying that.

im trying to convince him, i only offered my advice and what most people i believe would do. if you take classes and are a semester away from graduating most people would get the degree i would think and then get a degree in physics if still uninterested, its good just to have, you dont know whats going to happen and it could even help him get a job to pay for the rest of his school to get a degree in physics.

Now that I took another look at it, I completely agree with Animefan.

I think a psychology degree will definitely help him if he finishes physics. It's so darn obvious. You know, he apparently wont get into NASA which is apparently where most physics people go, so I guess all that is left is the stargate program. He'll probably get stuck on a ship like destiny and with his psychology degree he can become the ships psychologist/therapist/whateva, which is definitely a win.

Animefan, what part of "I have lost interest" do you not seem to comprehend? Adding another semester isn't going to change that fact. I have little desire to finish a degree in psychology because I have little interest in it. Physics, on the other hand, I have vast interest in. The fact that I'm 25 has NOTHING to do with this and it's apparently your only arguing point now.

Y'know, I tried to help animefan construct his argument against kael and learn what it would take to properly provide evidence to convince someone of something, but you guys' approach of point-by-point calling him an asshole works too.

a semester at his college is under 5k i believe he stated. improving space travel is that out there. you would have to be extremely smart and probably studied astrophysics for a long time improve on what is arleady known. iwas extremely nice about it, all i did was say this is my advice on your situation and he responded by being an asshole. his asshole response eventually lead to me being brutally honest and im not sheltered i live in nyc, im not in some little town. i took a little over a year to get some experience in a bank which is hardly a waste of time in my opinion since i will be declaring my major in economics next semester and i aslo made connections withing the banking world.

Dude kael I understand you, I'm studying Accounting and I hate it, it bores me but at the same time I have to finish it just to shut up my family. What I really want to study is graphic arts but with accounting I'm more prepared to set up my own shop when I finish studying that. I hate accounting honestly and its just torture finishing this shit but at the same time I need it.

It's not the same with you though what can that do to help in your physics degree? It's not as useful as in my situation so fuck that animefan guy and study what you really want.
