Actually, it doesn't make sense because everyone's reason was "it will give you a better job"...no it won't. Like Mal pointed out, people with bachelor's, in any field, are a dime a dozen. Psychology is actually one of the few areas of study where having a bachelor's won't help you in any way. A bachelor's in psychology is useless and every company that would look at my resume would know it.

s_d even pointed out that the $4-5k caused him to change his mind on telling me to continue.

I'd take that money for sure. School loans: Gone. Wedding: Paid for. Down-Payment or even full payment for a house: Tucked away. And maybe a sweet, totally impractical car.

Essentially this. I'd buy my way into Graduate school if I had to and still have plenty left over.

I would accept the money and pursue my back-up career(drummer, because it's funner and yes, I was a drummer.) I'll be a philanthropist(sp?) though or give the money to my kids.

I'd invest 1/4 of it in precious metals
the other 1/4 would go to charity
the Half. Would be all for me.

Fly over to Thailand and own me an entourage of hookers.
Then purchase me a tank. Fuck those fancy cars.

you would make an extrea 4-5k over 2 years of working easily with a college degree and you would have a college degree. that makes sense to me

donate 10% (that'd be tithing in my case, ten percent is the suggested tithe in the bible)
and 5% for yourself, that's still 50 million, what the hell are you gonna spend that on?

and still go to work, because having to much time on your hands will lead you to spending yoru money stupidly

in other news, doug and i are watching a documentary on the greeks

You're not getting it. Just having a degree isn't automatically going to give me extra money. Degrees are more and more prevalent in society today so I would be in competition with other degree holders. Those other degree holders would have the advantage over me because of the uselessness of having a bachelor's in psychology. I wouldn't be able to find any job that would warrant me spending extra money and time on a degree that's only use would be to get into graduate school.

I'd take the money, give nothing to charity and invest it in something useful. All this charity is bullshit, because only a minimal percentage is actually going where it is needed.

Also, why are we still having this discussion about kael's university course? It is his fucking choice and I highly doubt that any advice from an internet forum is going to change it. Can we please move on?
