Re: Computer Help FAQ
hmm but it turns on and you see the windows screen... best thing to do first is try taking out your hard drive and put it in another pc to back up your files. Now if you don't mind losing them files take these steps:
1. Put drive back on your PC(duh)
2. Take your Windows install disc and boot from CD.
a. To boot from CD when you turn your PC on usually there's a black screen with numbers and shit, usually on the lower side it says: DEL-BIOS, F12-BOOT, press the BOOT "button" (I don't remember if it is F12 so look at it).
b. There will be a "BOOT" menu, choose CD-ROM and hit enter, PC will restart and will ask for you to press any button, do eet.
3. Your choice if you want to repair or install back again, personally I would reformat it and install it again, rather than hit repair but try repair just in case(if its XP then hit repair).
Can't be video card if you can see the windows logo at least.
