As long as they don't disturb me I wont disturb them. By the way with more gays I can have more girls to me.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

Didn't even realize we were talking about homos in here, since I just skimmed fast through all the posts. Scrolled up, read RNB's thing about encouraging gay sex, then read Jaxon's post and fucking lol'd. Good shit, bros.

But yeah, letting gay dudes get married or whatever would be good for the country. Because it's stupid that they can't. And less stupid is always good.

I mean, fuck, I think the only arguments against gays is that god doesn't like it and it's not natural or some shit. God is cool with fucking stoning people and whatnot for stupid shit, so fuck that imaginary sky man. And most medical treatment, computers, etc. aren't natural but everyone is cool with that shit. Seriously, fucking retards. Goddamn.

Oh, and I'm against the death penalty. Because I figure that if someone killed someone I really like, like my bro or my adorable little cousin or some shit, I'm going to fucking rip his throat out with my bare hands or something equally lethal. And I'd rather not be put to death for that. Fuck yeah!

The brilliance of the system is that as long as we can show that you were mentally distraught enough at your adorable little cousin's death that what you did was not normal for you, you'd totally get off with just a regular murder charge and not see the death penalty.

So remember kids; better to act rashly rather than plan a cold revenge.

Also, I don't get the don't let gays marry. Seriously, what are you Yanks all on about? Canada's been letting gays and lesbians get married for years and our country is humming along fine, with the couples marrying, cheating on each other and divorcing just like the straight couples do. Completely normal.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

^ I have no problem with it so long as they are willing to raise the child as any other and let it make it's own decisions. You can't raise a kid to be straight or gay, which I think is where most people draw the line, but when you have straight couples fighting their children over homosexuality, I don't see why we should feel uncomfortable about gay parents. What we need are good parents, period. Not any one type, otherwise.

I'm personally waiting for the human interest story of a gay couple (male or female) who have a child, either with another person involved or paying for the eventually available technique of artificially merging the genetic material of two gametes, and then having them end up with a straight child of their own genetics. I find that humourous to think about. It's like a sitcom waiting to happen.

I really have a problem with the adoption thing. Both parents being of the same sex will influence the child the way the child did not deserve to be raised.

For example, I know this one guy whose father is rather cold, and almost never talks to his son, so his mother is the one who raised him mostly. He behaves more like a woman in many terms. Like, he loves manly stuff etc, but he changes his opinions and things way too often, which no male I know does. He is way too easy to influence as well, and is insecure, like many women I know.

On the other hand, my roommate's mother died when he was a kid, and he was raised by his father alone. He is all manly and all, but cannot fathom how to behave towards women. Etc.

Gay people adopting would be like that, only maybe worse, because, firstly, the kid would be picked at everywhere through his whole childhood, which automatically scars him with social skills. You get it, anyway, I don't need to list the things. Gay people are just different, I hate to think how their child would grow up to be.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

While I agree with your concerns, Shrike, this brings up the issue of the nature of gender and gender identity. Is there really any proper way that a man or woman should act? I think there is, but only because I believe each gender was designed for a specific purpose or role. If I did not believe this, I wouldn't care if a man filled the role traditionally reserved for a woman.

Yes, but that argument could be extrapolated to any number of criteria:

Drunks; bad drivers; the religious; the atheistic; lawyers; single people; those people who put children in pageants; hermits; social elite; etc

Who you are probably does affect the child you are raising, but a good parent should be able to compensate for that, regardless of who or what they are. I feel there should be a lot heavier criteria on child rearing as it is, but since there isn't, I cannot say any group that is at least caring and supportive of a child shouldn't have the right to adopt.

What you would call good parents is quite rare, and in truth, all that could work in a much more advanced society. We are hardly ready.

Meant to both Mal and ACt.

Re: The Longest Thread Ever v28

Yeah, gotta agree with ACT on this one. Besides, based on how goddamn unmanly most men are, it's like most children are being raised by two chicks anyway.

Imagine if two OH dudes adopted a kid. That kid would be fucking awesome. I mean, holy fuck ridiculously awesome. Like, goddamn we should all get together and build a castle and adopt a shitload of orphans, raise them, and send them out in the world to kick all kinds of ass. And then they could have a fuckload of kids and do the same thing. Eventually the entire planet would be full of goddamn badasses.

What I'm getting at is OH dudes are fucking manly.
