So I managed to buy some boosters of Magic the other day, first 2 packs from New Phyrexia and 2 packs from 2012 core set. 1 of the New Phyrexia yielded

I am happy geek.

Btw, by "first 2 packs" I mean first 2 packs I ever bought from that set. First pack I opened had the New Phyrexia version of a Clone, second had that sexy beast above.

Very nice. I got that same Praetor in my first few packs of New Phyrexia as well. More recently, I split a box of M12 with a friend of mine and opened two Titans (Frost and Sun) in the first three packs. The only other one I got was Gideon, but my friend will trade me almost anything for him so I'm still happy.

I'm still trying to think of a deck to build around Sheoldred. I know a reanimator type deck is perfect for her, just need to figure out the logistics behind it. Another deck I'm working on (a friend and I were discussing this on the way to get cards/dinner/shoot pool for his birthday) is based around the Worldslayer and Konda, Lord of Eiganjo (3/3, vigiliance, bushido 5, and indestructible).

I've updated my mono-green Elf deck to make it a hell of a lot more aggressive and almost unstoppable. Tonight proved it when I took on 2 different decks, that deal immense damage quickly, and I won with over 40 life.

My friends and I determined tonight that the artifact based Archenemy deck (the one I bought) is overpowered. We did a Commander v. Commander v. Archenemy (me) match, and I held off both of their decks with little problems. One of the Commander decks has a creature that whenever it attacks, you put an Angel, Demon, or Dragon card from your hand into play tapped and attacking that opponent.

Btw, said friends are on my hate list because the lucky bastards are going to Mayhem Fest in Detroit tomorrow.
