If it's against motivated BJ then I kinda think he'd rough up Diaz pretty bad. Kinda because I see him going for takedowns since he doesn't have horrible shots and I think BJ on top is > Diaz on bottom. I guess I shouldn't underestimate Diaz guard... I dunno, could definitely be really awesome battle. Unmotivated BJ makes me sad though. Hope that guy doesn't show up. Also kinda wanted Diaz to fight GSP. You know Diaz won't just stand there and get jabbed to death or go out without a fight if he's getting wrestlefucked, at least. Oh well, it could always happen later on, I guess. |

Tonight's Strikeforce event should be pretty entertaining.
Pretty eager to see how Maximo Blanco will do in the states, he was pretty fucking badass in Sengoku. Roger Gracie vs. King Mo should be interesting. Mo's wrestling is strong as hell, but Gracie is pretty much considered to have world class bjj, even among other Gracie's. Cormier vs. Bigfoot. I don't know what to think of Cormier, he's pretty new. He's apparently a pretty solid wrestler, but Bigfoot Silva is scary as fuck right now, and pumped up on confidence from the Fedor victory. I call Bigfoot by demolition. Barnett vs. Kharitonov. I'm thinking Barnett will try to catch-wrestle-fuck Sergei. He's not trying to catch a super Russian Spetsnaz punch to the face. I'll give Barnett the edge to win this one, but I'll be rooting for Sergei. Unfortunately, I won't be able to see it. I jumped on an opportunity a few weeks ago and took a full time position working 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Fuck....

I think Cormier is gonna get demolished, he looks like a LHW not a HW but dude is slick and has showed some good striking but Big Foot is his toughest opponent ever.
Barnett is hungry in this GP, he wants to show he is still one of the best HW's on MMA plus the dude listens to metal so fuck yeah. I got Gracie by submission, King Mo is a douche.

Ellenburger with fries won by destruction, referee won first round 10-9 from stuffing Shields takedown. Koch won, I have a mixed review of that fight. Personally I'm glad he won because the other dude was just stalling, but from how its supposed to be scored the other dude won but I dunno I hate the dude for just stalling the fight. Also lol at Mayweather, I didn't see it I just saw this.  Both need to be ktfo.

Pretty decent fights tonight.
Gomi/Diaz bout went pretty much as expected. Gomi is just too one dimensional to compete with some of the more complete fighters, I was rooting for him though. Goddamn Nate Diaz is looking more and more like a fucking alien. I'm glad Mark Hunt won, I've liked him for years. Even at his age, if his cardio was better, he could compete with some of the top guys imo. Hughes/Kos bout went pretty much as expected too. Though i will say Hughes looked better on the feet than I've ever seen him. I gotta say, even though Rampage lost the fight, he hasn't looked this good in a long fucking time. Just last year I was thinking he was pretty much done with the fight game, but here he is totally serious, and I think if he were fighting anyone else tonight (including Shogun) he would have won. I haven't seen anyone fend off Jones' attacks like that, when Jones got Rampage in full mount that first time I thought the fight was over, but when he was able to actually get out of that shit, that was an accomplishment in and of itself. Goddamn it's hard to compete with Jones though, that reach is such a killer.
