Obama to end Iraqi occupation by end of '11

Long story short: negotiations with the new Iraqi leaders, regarding America's continued presence in Iraq with Washington "insisting" that all American troops be granted legal immunity from Iraqi laws, are falling through so Obama has decided (finally) that enough blood has been shed for them and is walking away from a perpetual money black hole.

It's about damn time, imo. We've been there far too long.

Considering one of his campaign promises was ending America's occupation of Iraq...I'm guessing he did.

There's no way we're completely out of there by the end of the year. Just not going to happen. At most he will pull half the troops out to appease his voters, and deny Republicans the "He doesn't care about our troops" argument.

what do you mean? I dont think he would lie like that. Itd be too big of a hit to his re-election campaign next year. He wouldve just said beginning to bring them home not everybody home
