I'm glad I played Deus Ex and Bastion in time to make my GotY list. That shit was looking weak until those two games came into my life. Wish I had a chance to play Dark Souls in time.

So, non-electronic games. Has anyone played the board/card game "Dominion?" You start the game with 7 treasure cards (used to buy things) and 3 victory cards (give you points at the end of the game) and each turn must use the 5 cards in your hand to gain more cards that either get you more treasure or victory points, or allow you to perform certain actions. It can be radically different each time you play it because there are several different "Action" cards, but only 10 different once are used each game (with 10 copies of each one available for purchase).

I haven't been playing much of anything lately, other than some occasional UO lan party stuff. Did put a hand full of hours into Skyrim. Or as DG aptly put it me, Skyrimscreed.

I got Legendary. Haven't played much of it yet, but from what I have seen it's decent. There is nothing groundbreaking, pretty linear. But some of the early sequences where the griffons were ravaging the town was sweet. I like mythology too, use to be a nut about various cultures mythos. So yeah. FPS plus creatures of lore, for ten bucks equals a pretty decent deal.

Anyone try Q.U.B.E yet? I thought it looked interesting back when it was the showcase item during, I think the September Unreal devkit beta release. Just finished playing the demo. It's not bad, doesn't get into any of the better puzzles yet. Despite the obvious attempt to ride on the portal coat tales, it looks like it has potential. At least based on the screens of what comes later in game. The game full game is probably going to be devoid of any kind of story. Just pure puzzlely goodness. Which is fine by me for 12 bucks.

Is this one actually real? Because just the other day this thing popped up in a bestbuy claiming a Feb 1st/3rd release date for the US/UK respectively. Blizzards community manager Micah Whipple said it was a fake conjured up by an enthusiastic store manager.


Fingers crossed for the real thing. Hopefully they just got the date wrong.

Edit: Oh yea, there has been confirmation that D3 will be on consoles as well. For whatever that's worth.
