Blackbeards gonna kill Shanks, Luffy will kill Akainu at some point, somebody will kill Boa Hancock once someone significant on the anti-StrawHat side figures that out, prolly Akainu. I didn't know he escaped, (Moria), that being the case, he now has Oars as a zombie. I wonder where WB's crew went? Did they all just disband and find other crews, I don't understand the process if the Captain of the crew quits or dies? They did have some strong assed pirates, and I wondered why during the battle nobody from WB's crew attempt to take out the artillery cannons. They maybe destroyed a few in the beginning, but when that wall raised, they were surrounded, with the Pacifistas closing the back door behind them. The whole situation was chaotic so everything can be second guessed now.

Yeah, but that's gonna happen much much later on in the story, maybe even in the epilogue. If that kids any rank of admiral right now it would be way out of place. That's like Konohamaru suddenly powering up to Naruto level Haxxxx.

IMO he's gonna be a commander, which is still a significant feat for his age. The kid is only like 16 right? I'd say at the most he's a captain but that's pushing it. We also got to take into account that there's a significant amount of politics behind who gets promotions. With Garp retired and Akainu running things, it might be difficult for Coby to get promoted. It would be lulzy if he still at the same rank, lol. Also there's the factor of how active he's been hunting pirates. He is in the East Blue after all. It's not like there's any "Big Fish" for him to hunt down and make a name for himself. If he were in the Grandline taking on potential Supernovas, I could understand him getting a much larger promotion, but pirates in the East blue are kinda, meh.

Yeah, basically sometime in the future when the Marines bring out they're 'unknown Ace' expect it to be Cody. I agree I don't believe he'll go the devil fruit way, but his Homey, I fully expect him to go that route.

It's crazy, I miss that big faced Cross Dresser, the world is generally going to hell when He/she's onscreen.

And Sabo ? What about him, i loved him at the flashbacks, no way he's dead.

I don't think we already saw him but you never know with Oda that he has already been shown.

You know what I want to see? A pirate hunter. A strong pirate hunter. I know that the bounties are Oda's tool to gauge strength for the readers in some way (its never an exact representation, but that's a good thing), but there should be some pirate hunter that can play with the big dogs. Perhaps a bounty hunter that only goes after the big shots in NW can be introduced; He gets the bounty money, lives nicely off of it for several years, then goes after a new bounty when his stash is low.

I think thats bound to happen in the 'New World'. Just like in the beginning, they started off against Arlong, and Hacchi and the other Fishmen, and the bar raise eventually to Crocodile, then to Rob Lucci, Impel Downs, and then the War. Within that travel they faced about 2 or 3 different 'Bounty Hunters', I don't think that anything will change there. It was cool how Arlongs saga mixed in with Jimbei's story, still haven't finished that arc yet though, almost.

Not sure if I'm right but I thought I read somewhere in an interview or something possibly a manga chapter that once you get to the New World bounties to gauge strength starts to become less purposeful because everyone that has survived in the New World are pretty much badasses.

I actually like the sound of Bounty Hunters coming back into it, heck it would be cool to see those two swordsmen from the Arlong Arc that went around with Zoro once. I think Hawk Eyes might be like a part time bounty hunter. I mean how else does he get by while checking out the talent of new swordsmen ?

But I wouldnt mind seeing a good bounty hunter coming at the SH's at some point while they travel NW.

Of course it can only happen in the New World, thats where the rest of the story, or the bulk of the rest of the story, will be

No way. He would have gotten a stronger but not as strong as Luffy. I'd put him on par with probably Usopp.

Coby right now is probably around the level Luffy was pre-timeskip, which wasn't too shabby. Anything more then that would be ridiculous.

Coby got to where he was in the first half in a few months. His growth rate is pretty insane, but he was trained by Garp after all. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes quite powerful with 2 full years of Haki+physical training under his belt.

Yeah, but Luffy was fighting Shichibukai, and had 300 million bounty pre-timeskip. So it would be crazy if Coby were even that strong now, much less stronger.

I could see him being pretty proficient at Haki, and that giving him an edge and all, but in terms on physical fighting skill he shouldn't be anywhere near top tier or even second tier for that matter.

I would say given the 2 years that's passed, that Coby teamed up with Helmeppo, should be able to give Garp a good fight. Probably not win, but still put on a good show. Kinda like Naruto and Sakura Vs. Kakashi at the start part 2, though not as lame as that. That would still be a significant development for Coby without him being too haxxed.
