I will never buy another bostitch nail gun again.

I literally just bought it a couple of months ago, and have used it twice. One of which was just testing it out. The whole reason I bought it was because I just recently got a house. That's a piece of shit, well, was a piece of shit. Today I had planned to go lay a bunch of hardboard down over the bare plywood throughout the entire two bedroom house.

Needless to say, got everything measured, cut, layed down and in place, fired up the nail gun. Pulled the trigger, air shoots out from behind the trigger. "What the fuck?" I check it out, everything appears to be as it should, try it again. Fucking same thing. "You've got to be kidding me" Three, four, five more times I try, with the same result.

So, I had to say fuck it, and have been hammering like a mother fucker all day long. Needless to say, even though I probably won't have a need for a nail gun again for a while. My next one definitely won't be a god damn bostich.

Should of found the receipt and taken it back. Were I there I probably could have disassembled it for you and fixed. But the Hardware shop shouldn't have a problem if you do a direct swap because yours is fault. Check it out, Bostich might have a life time warranty on it like Kinchrome and Sidchrome. which works in the idea that if you break a spanner using it you can take it back and get a new one free.

I wish I could. Like I said I really only needed it for this one day so it's really no big deal. I might be able to track down the receipt but I probably threw it out.

Also, my sig is from a pretty good band called The Barenaked ladies. The song is called the history of everything. The show's not that bad either.

Dunno what country you're in man or what you do for work, but when it comes to buying tools if you work on the tools in your job, keep your receipt and you can claim it on tax, atleast we can in Australia.

Oh I know about the band and the song. I was just expressing my dislike for the show. I won't get into it at the moment as I can't be bothered, but I know of a few guys on here to share my opinion on it. Not that you aren't entitled to yours of course.

That only works in the US if the tool is purchased for actual employment reasons. Mest said it was for a house he recently purchased, so it's not job-related and he can't claim it on his taxes.

That's why I said, if you work on the tools you can claim it, Taxman doesn't have to know it's for around the house. I do it all the time. Buy tools to keep in the shed and say they're for work.

True, I'm in the US. I don't know I went to Home Depot today, the same one I bought it from, but they told me they couldn't help me, or take it back because it was "used". I got really annoyed so I just left.

I don't know man, I'm a mechanic/chef. I think the IRS would probably realize something like that being taxed, being in the professions I am.

Feel free when you have a chance to share that opinion of yours. I really wouldn't want to get your opinion from somebody else. By the way, does that also mean you dislike the song and band?
