My fav is SA, short, action packed esp the way it ended.

Alabasta was really good, fights were sort of okay but the fun quotient of that arc was too high, not to mention Ace.

I was quite bored in skypea arc.

W7/EL was pretty good, the story development, epic fights it was all there. And ofcourse SUUUPPEERRRR!! Its really admirable how well has oda transformed franky from a legit villain to one of the most loved crew mates, keeping his character intact all the time.

TB arc was kinda boring, but that produced zoro's best fight to date. Ryuuma vs Zoro was just too epic.

Marineford somehow didn't live up to my expectations, navy was almost always owning the pirates. None of the WB crew except for WB himself could have stood up to the top 5 fighters in the navy. Marco was good but from what i saw, he definitely would not have been able to match any of 3 admirals, let alone garp and sengoku. It was too one sided. All this without any of the shichibukai doing anything substantial in the battle.

That is very true. I mostly meant that this arc didn't really show us anything on the same scale as say the Nami arc, Alabasta, Skypeia, W7/Enies Lobby, TB, SA, IP, and MFW.

But yeah, Foxy Pirates did bring us the awesomeness that is Afro Luffy and his equally amazing ring side assistant. Chopper learns what it means to be a true pirate as well. lol

Well ofcourse it wasn't comparable to any arcs wrt story progression. As someone said, seems like oda just did this while he was vacationing somewhere on the beach. I did like Zoro-Sanji tag team though. thoroughly enjoyable..

Thats it.. I'm watching it again today!

I think that was the point of Marineford, to showcase that the Marines aren't to be fucked around so lightly (contrary to what previous arc might lead some to believe, due to Marines getting owned left and right). It wasn't just to show Luffy that he was still incredibly weak in comparison, but to show that even the mightiest of pirates can perish under the Marines' force.

Opinions aside, some people just don't realize how stacked the marines were in that battle.

1- They were in their home turf with traps at the ready
2- Ace was in sight and under threat of execution the entire time. Not only did that split the focus of the WB army, but it kept WB from flipping MF like a pancake.
3- They managed to injure an already dying WB gimping him even further
4- WB was at the end of his rope
5- Obvious numerical advantage
6- Ace was a dumbass. If he had just obeyed WB, the Marines would have killed WB but they would look bad because the pirates would have foiled their plans.

Furthermore, just look at what Aokiji and Akainu did to PH. They managed to build up ice mountains and active volcanoes, and their powers cancel each other out. The SB barely did anything during the war, neither did Kizaru/Garp/Sengoku. There was a lot of holding back on both sides.

I couldn't imagine which side would have one if this was a straight war between WB + crew and allied forces against the Marines and SB, no holding back. A dying raging WB bitched slapped around Akainu and nearly murdered him. Oda merely gave us a taste of things to come in the future.

We need to see more from the WB pirates before making that judgement. They have a powerful DF among them still, Marco's. We might see the BB pirates hunt for them in the future, and should that happen extended all out fights.

Jozu is gimped though, he lost an arm.

There are WB allied forces as well. I feel like we haven't seen all who supported WB. Although as powerful as Marco potentially is I think he'll also have trouble with the stronger Supernova if he comes across them before meeting up BB. Like Kidd for instance.

I could also see an alignment between WB remnants and SH happening in the future if things get fierce. Especially considering Luffy and Big Mam's current relationship.

I could easily see the final battle having Luffy being the WB vs. the Govt. and the Foxy Pirates being one of Luffy's allies that assists in the attack. I could say Zoro would play Aces part, but by then not many will be badass enough to touch Mr. Roranoa Zoro, let alone hold him down to kill him.
