I'll get to it, but in case anyone cares. The new Rock Lee Chronicles are available on Crunchyroll. Just found out today, there's five episodes out. I'm enjoying them more than I thought I would. Neji makes the show in my opinion. "Why am I doing this"?

I have to say the animation team did a great job and I like the fact that they brought back the mist guy from the filler episode which helped the meshing of the shinobi alliance ..well when dealing with the mist and stone that is.

Gaara's speech was epic and had lots of emotion.. I got to admit I felt some kind of way about it..

I hope the animation team continues to take small liberties with these episodes.. there was some non cannon material inserted but it was done in a seamless manner.. now only if they would add to some battles and jutsu they might be able to save the travesties of this war.. like a certain someones off-screen rampage.. but anyway here's to a good start.

I hope this pacing and mesh with filler stays throughout the war arc. Both this episode and next episode's preview correspond to a single chapter in the manga (516 and 517, respectively). And seeing the May calendar:

Seems to indicate a slow pacing (6~7 chapters in 5 episodes).

I would have to agree...Great job animation team....almost put a tear in my corner....Loved that as you said they included the guy from the mist filler....episode just had so much emotion to the tone it was hard to avoid. I am quite excited at what can be done to capitalize the blank spots in the manga. They as you said did a great job putting this together inserting the small perks that make it all smooth as yogurt. Looking forward to a bunch of fights mainly against 3rd Raikage and Gin and Kin.
