I'm assuming that the eye is permanently sealed away. The eye doesn't go blind, it's sealed from usage. Sealing =/= damage that Edo Tensei can regenerate.

this still stunk to high heaven.

I just wish that Kishi had a smooth progression. I mean (back me up here veng), wasn't Inzanami cast like two-three chapters ago?

If things keep going this way, I predict Naruto will defeat Tobi/Madara/Sasuke, whomever the final villian is with a rainbow colored spirit bomb!

I doubt that itachi is dead, Izanami has been hyped up and talked about alot for it not to be used.. Unless, kishi is going to say that itachi implanted into sasuke.

I'm betting on for Izanami to work, Itachi has to die. He can't keep kicking around this manga. He's always been a man of sacrifice and will continue to be so. Plus, every sharingan tech has had some draw back or catch. MS - have to kill someone important to you to activate, causes blindness to use. EMS - need to transplant eyes of someone of equal strength with MS, preferably a family member, which is pretty much the end of them. Izangami - sacrifice an eye to the technique, forever.

Izanami, if Kishi is consistent, should be no different. I won't be surprised if it requires both the eye and a life - perhaps even the life of the caster, which would make it hilarious silly for anyone to ever use. (not to mention it requires a death of someone to change one's destiny... well, that's a no brainer, really). But, be that as it may, I think there is a good chance that Itachi let Kabuto hit him and is about to be done in this manga, potentially the action that activates Izanami, pushing Sasuke to the fore once more.

There - crazy theory for you. It's been a very slow day at work.

Kabuto had a sealing dagger in his hand at the start of the fight. That'd do quite a lot to stop Itachi from regenerating.

Honestly though? I don't believe Kabuto successfully pulled off anything just then. Did no one else find it odd that Itachi says he's activating the jutsu then just drops Susanoo?

Also, if Kabuto really killed Itachi just then? I can't picture anyway that Sasuke controls his murderous impulses. The war means nothing to him.

We're assuming it was a sealing dagger (I'm playing devil's advocate for this one part). That tag could've been an explosive tag as well. But, if it was a sealing tag, I'm betting it was the earlier tag Kabuto pulled out to rewrite Itachi's brain...again in order for Kabuto to regain control.

Kabuto's tagging is too late. He did a pretty good trick right there, old Kishimoto style, I liked it. But Izanami had already been activated for some time probably or something.

Well, that's what NC gets by making an unconstitutional amendment and most people being dumb enough to vote favorably. Maybe it's for the best, to see if the taste of their own medicine via Christian Sharia makes some people grow a brain.
