Kael, I would love to get that, but that bugger is even more expensive than the Alienware.

The XPS 15 had 8GB of RAM, i7 processor, 2GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M Graphics Card and a 750GB HDD. All that for under £994, including 3 years next day home service and accidental damage protection (which I know I'll need since I'll be moving around with it a lot). That Razer is a good £1800.

SSD prices are getting so much cheaper, there was a 120GB yesterday for £64, while a few months ago it was close to £200.

So Activision approaches their IT chief, Thomas Fenady, with "Project Icebreaker." Asking him to hack into the computers of Jason West and Vince Zampella (creators of CoD) and access their voice/emails. After making it through the firewall he hit a snag and was unable to progress any further. So this genius decides to phone Microsoft for tech support saying: "Hey we have this Microsoft Exchange server out at Infinity Ward. Can you help us figure out how to break the password and read the emails?" to which Microsoft replies "Do you have a court order? This makes us feel very uncomfortable."

The none too surreptitious means this guy went about trying to solicit help for his little hacking ventures not withstanding. I kind of appreciate the unnecessary military-esque moniker of Project Icebreaker. Now I'm going to mow my lawn, or as I call it: Operation foliage destruction.

In video-related news, I played some Diablo 3 yesterday. Went female Monk on hardcore mode because I'm truly that hardcore. Pretty fun (when the server's didn't shit themselves), but I don't see myself buying the game any time soon, or at all.

Anyone checked out Tera? It actually seems like it would make for decent game. At least for a little while. Plus I'm interested in how they are handling the combat for the game, and how playing it with my xbox 360 controller will work(with all the buttons I'm sure you're likely to have to press).

LN, I'm on the same boat as you. Everything I've heard about it so far has been the same thing as what I experienced in the beta. A solid ARPG, but nothing else above that. Nothing special for it to stand out from the "Diablo clones." And so much brown.

I might get it if the price drops heavily, but knowing Blizzard that's unlikely to happen.

Right now I'm looking forward to Path of Exile (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Os-4RGEORzw) and Torchlight 2, the former being free to play and the latter only being $20. So weeee.

From what I hear, Path of Exile is being worked on by a lot of Diablo II developers. May end up being a better sequel than D3 itself.

I'm not sure about them, I think they started off as just fans of the genre but they could have help from people who worked on Diablo by now, I'm not too sure.

I know Runic, which made Torchlight 1 and is making 2, was made by the founders of Blizzard North (The guys that made Diablo 1 and 2). And they also have a bunch of other staff from Blizzard North working there.

Exactly, if it dropped from $65 to, say, $40 or $35 I'd get it, just so I can play with my bros. But I think it'll hit that price range by the time I'm like fifty.

Starcraft 2 is still pretty much the same price as most new PC games and that came out 2 years ago.
