I've got a friend who made a comment that she'd like to lock up Beiber in her closet and just pet him. The look we shared will be forever noted. Then she poured me another shot of vodka.

I don't see any problem with it, other than the obvious "You could get killed in some backwater nation." Not like you'd have to be a frontline grunt, anyways. Could always be a mechanic, or a pencil-pusher.

Yeah, I dunno. I've been giving it a lot of thought lately. I want the "experience" of it all. I want to be able to see, do, and experience things most other people would never get to do. Plus, Guns <3. They'd also help, if not put me through school.

My problem with it is fighting for what I believe to be a broken and corrupt government. Just seems like a sweet deal.

I have no qualms about fighting for AMERICA. I mean, c'mon, AMERICA. You listed the reasons why I'd join, particularly the financial stability (if I survive, PROMOTIONS, and such). I am planning on enlisting, probably, after I graduate, though, so I'll have a degree and not start out at the bottom of the totem pole.

Huh. South Sudan has the same level of government corruption as the Atlantic Ocean.

Also, seems like a very positive rating for the Harper Government. Not saying they shouldn't be yellow, but things are getting worse.

I'd be down for Australia, maybe. Did you know the minimum wage in Australia is $15 dollars an hour? Most of the US and especially where I'm from the minimum wage is $7.25. Sure they pay a bit more for gasoline and other such imports, but overall they have a much much healthier economy. Which, to me, is something to think about.

because we Malaysian believe in befriending the ministers who will give us million dollar projects and then we sub it to some people and enjoy the money while doing nothing.

It's actually $15.51 as of last year, and I now have a reason for them to stop bitching about paying more for everything. I doubt I will have to though, given that the only Aussie I know makes significantly more than minimum.

Why are people comparing the Australian and American dollar like they're in any way the same currency? Just because it says "dollar" doesn't mean the exchange rate is equal. Jesus.
